I’m a C up for promotion to SC. If go-live on the project fails, would my promotion be denied? I won’t be responsible per-se, but I’m still a significant contributor to the project
Just got an email saying I've been selected as a candidate for a promotion in June...is this a new process?
If you had a mentor you respected who has been making less ethical choices over the last year after their promotion, would you have that conversation with them? Has anyone had that kind of conversation? How did it go?
Do people get held back for promotion if their AOS is pending in the middle of promotion time?
Ok, guys I am taking tips on becoming a direct hire partner in FS. I have 10 years of work experience, all in FS. Underpaid and under-leveled. Can move to VP at a bank or jump to higher level. The promotion slog is too long.
Feeling the capacity crunch at my current agency and starting to think about long term moves. I’ve been promised a senior management promotion within the year but wondering - at the senior level, what are the considerations I should think about in deciding to say or jump ship?
One of my team members has excellent technical skills but is constantly passed up for promotion because his English is subpar. Is there any way I can help him?
How long should you work at a firm before you start looking for opportunities? I’ve heard it’s wise to wait until a promotion otherwise you get the stigma that you’re a job hopper. Also, what’s the minimal time you can work on a place and put it on your resume?
Has your firm given firm wide raises this year due to good results. If yes, mind sharing the firm and the raise? Also, when is it effective?
I got a fat raise and promotion this year but that hasn’t cured my depression. Considering leaving and a paycut to just make it to next year alive.
Had an offer for 30% more , a promotion to manager, extra week of vacation to switch firms. I love where I am at with my clients and there is a lot of potential there. Should I stay the course?
My department had some turnover in leadership and I am meeting with my new lead for a 1:1. Any advice? I’m not as close to him as I was to our old lead, but now he is responsible for my promotion etc
If my director said I would be rated a 1 as a 2nd year, does that mean I should expect a promotion to senior come May? Not sure if you can be rated a 1 and not promoted.
Someone in an HR session asked how Diversity and Inclusion retention/promotion efforts could negatively impact people who aren't "diverse." That's a bad look bruh.
Would love some advice—I’ve spent the last 2 yrs in sr level role doing policy work I enjoy. early on I discovered I was srsly underpaid & had to fight to fix it. Then leadership changed & things were good, until recently they dangled a promotion only to tell me it wouldn’t come with a raise for at least 6 mons. Then a diff agency asked me to apply for a role that pays a lot more but the work sounds so boring. Do I follow the money or do I keep doing work I like while feeling undervalued?

How is Accenture's federal practice? Thinking of switching to get promotion to Manager. Currently a senior @ PwC.
SF agency, 4 years experience. Up for promotion to Producer (as well as being the occasional Video Editor!). HELPPPP what salary should I ask for?
When a really handsome and strong guy participates in a zoom meeting with me, I have this fantasy of imagining myself being dominated by him. I was still able to keep the meeting professional. ;/
By far the worst part about being a healthcare consultant: Uber driver: What do you do? Me: HC Consultant Uber driver: *20 minute rant about the US healthcare system*
I've an interview scheduled for this week with EY for the role of Consultant - Performance Improvement. For first round I was asked to submit a case study solution. I wanted to know how many rounds of interviews would be there and how the overall process would be like since this would be my first experience for consulting interview. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated 😊
Hello fishes, got an offer from KPMG Global Services, Mumbai as Consultant - SPI (within Deal Advisory). Can anyone help me know the quality of work, work culture and wlb ? Anyone work at UHY? What's the culture like? How are the hours in busy season /non busy season? Do you work from home at all? I know they are back in the office. What's the dress code (I'm used to jeans and a golf shirt lmao)? Do the managers welcome new methods of preparing returns? Are they afraid of tech / make you prove out your formulas?
Anyone else tired of the assumption that because you’re a partner you have to think a certain way and believe certain things. I’m talking about wokeness, work from home, and the recent ever constant pushing of the needle to the left or risk getting “cancelled”. I’m fairly liberal politically so for me to be saying this I think may say something for the current climate. I should be able to hold and express my own opinions without being quashed because I’m not “woke” enough.
One of the SMs is supporting my promotion case but they are lately trying to micromanage me and ask all nagging questions unnecessarily. Unsure how to handle this professionally.
How do you respond to a teacher that is talking bad about you in front of staff and students as well as this teacher feels she needs to try and control your classroom as well
In house job- been through 7!!! interviews. GC, to whom I was a double referral, scheduled a call for tomorrow morning and titles it "discussion". I'm thinking it's probably a verbal offer. Your thoughts? My anxiety has been jumping out of my skin as the call was originally supposed to be sometime today but he had to push it.
McKinsey Supply Chain implantation coach salary ? Also it is more system implantation job or operations ?

Mid level AD in NY. Just started freelancing. I'd like to make about $70/hour. Do I ask for $80? If they ask my day rate, does that calculate to $700/day? Does day rate = 8 hours? Or could it be 12?
Our firm is going to be hiring after 10/15! 55-65 hour weeks during busy periods. Primarily looking for seniors and up, but we will also consider experienced staff. Firm is located in Los Angeles but remote is also a possibility (I’m fully remote and so are a few others). Clients we serve are ultra high net worth, real estate investors, and the entertainment industry. DM if you’re interested.
Breastfeeding on a zoom call. Yay or nay? Was awkward in the call today. With webcam on. No one said anything but can tell from the faces the bewilderment. 5 people call. 3 women and 2 men. Kept up to point and wrapped the call quickly. I am one of the males btw.
I was passed up for a promotion after 1.5 years at the agency/in the role despite consistently great feedback and was told that I just needed more time in role. A guy with my experience level was....
I am working for a boutique consulting firm for over 5 years now. Have a M.Sc. and not planning on doing a MBA. How do I transition into Tech/ VC?
Has anyone switched to a standing desk? Do you feel more productive? Was it worth it? Did you switch at the office or at your home?
