Associate Consultant interviews at Slalom Consulting ? Does anyone here know what the interview process is like for the AC/consulting foundations program? Especially for Agile consultants within Delivery leadership? They said they'll give me a skills assessment interview, do u think it'll be intense?

This is not normal Search for another job, I know how you feel (not being confident after so much criticism) but you can do it Brush up on your skills and answers for the interviews and start searching a new job asap If possible and if your coach is supportive, and if you want, you can try to switch here itself if you don't wanna search outside But its definitely not worth staying in this project atleast All the very best, trust yourself and work for bringing a change in your life.. :)

I am trying to do the same. But I am not sure if I can switch within Deloitte itself. The leadership may not agree to give away a resource to someone else/ other department etc...
Hey. My condolences on your situation. Working in such an environment sounds challenging. However, one way to tackle it is to identify the seniors who have been giving you a critical feedback. Then setup a call with them over email stating " Check-in". Then set the premise stating the objective as "Feedback and charting recourse". Have a candid conversation on areas of improvement and achievements. Ask them for critical feedback and show a willingness to learn and agree on a plan of action with them. Get that in mail and keep on following up with them. Trust me they'll step back. If not then they are truly toxic. TURN AROUND AND RUN!

Ok so I have already done this and my documents are with my coach as well. From my documentation it is very clear that there are a few seniors in my team who are truly hell bent upon making my life miserable and one of them even had the audacity to push my work under someone else and gave them the credit for something they didn't even know about. I have raised this with my coach earlier as well and it is clearly not being taken care of. On the other hand we had a new SR.CON join our team and I have had the opportunity to work under this one as well and miraculously he has only good things to say about me. This person also realised whatever was happening within our team (only one person getting all the praises and being an apple of seniors eyes) so then sr. Con started congratulating us on every small achievement. I have a stark difference in the reviews received from this person and the other seniors in the team. I have client Verbatim on email praising my work. So idk what's their problem. Well am already on with my job search and hopefully can land a job in the next one month or so.
Same thing happened with me 3 years back when I joined from Campus. I kept collecting anger inside and one day in a resort party the booze made me spit it all out. I couldn’t even make eye contact with people in my team. Good thing was that manager got so frustrated he kicked me out of team and luckily I got a Python coding project. Really happy now and got an offer with YOE*7 in a product based company. Starting 2 weeks from today.
Rising Star
Accenture 1 and everyone guessing here. I have 3.5 YOE and I got a better offer now YOE * 10 :)
I think every employee faces this kind of issue at least once in their career, BUT that means you should do someone about it! I faced this issue 6 years ago, i emailed my Service Line leader that I’m not mentally happy with this project and I wrote pointers of what I feel and how it has affected me! Soon enough I was taken on other project, and my performance or bonus was not affected at all. It’s definitely YOU who can do something about it. Your senior will be assholes no matter what.
I'm trying this too. Have to request for a project change. My seniors are good but they only know Java and handling Java applications. Where I have to take care .net one but it's a full stack(I'm not good with jQuery, Js, Css). I have to informed my coach that I'm not mentally happy with the project. HOPE they will change my project, else I'll have to resign.
When did u join dear? Dont take anything to heart. No situation is permanent in this world. Dont care about anything. But concurrently try for other jobs. I understand the dread and fear u must be feeling from the sunday night and before every team call. Just take this as a test in life given by god. Dont give much importance to anybody. Nobody can harm u in deloitte. Maybe low ratings and no increment. That is not the end of the world. Resign as soon as u get a good offer.
Bro, I joined after july 2021,and looking outside, they are planning to put me in the same situation but I got an offer before and planning to leave

Fish - don't get bogged down. At the end of the day, remember, this is just a job. You can anyday get a better job, team, peers, managers, supervisors etc. What's more important is your health and mental well being. Try to do the best you can do in terms of work. And after you give it your best, stop fretting about everything else. Don't worry at all. It will get better. Take a day off, watch some Netflix and order your favorite snack from swiggy.

Haha thank you
Search for job outside, delay the joining to next firm by 15 days. Take a break in those days. Start fresh. And chill bro, its just a job. Its conpletly okay to switch. Here you night have seen people have switched 6 to 8 jobs in 3 years for money. And here we are talking about mental peace. Move out :-), all will be well. Happens with everyone
Yes buddy , next employeer will not even care. No job is worth mental peace :-) . I have seen people switching jobs in 2_3 months. Dont get into people politics, move out and enjoy . All the best !
Feel for you bro because I have been in that situation before! I would suggest you to get out of that situation ASAP. Nothing is worth getting our confidence shot, some d'heads can't decide if you're good or not. Start studying and look for a switch or try to get out of the project.

Slight update to this situation: I have been rolled off from the previous project and now I am working on another project. Started last week and I can say that I am working with a better team this time. Who doesn't look down upon me constantly, no favouritism, and better work culture. Although I am still looking out for opportunities. However, just wanted to update because many of you showed concern and wrote helpful comments. But, I am definitely liking me new team and leads. They're very nice. I guess I just met some assholes in my first project. Hopefully I don't have to work with them ever again.
I feel you, in a same situation right now, overthinking is killing me everyday.
Hey buddy I do have similar experience had a very toxic manager in a project used to chew me down for anything and everything I was a associate analyst with 1 year experience back then. When I raised it up to SM it backfired on me. Was given poor ratings and milestone year was postponed. Luckily that project ended and i was able to change the impression with my work in a new project. My suggestion for you would be to change the company, no matter what they say retaliation is real and happens here.

Yes exactly what am going through right now. I was always a top performer and after joining Deloitte I feel that I have lost my confidence due to such ppl.
Like others said, reach out to your SLL. They don’t entertain this kind of behaviour from seniors or managers. Do not worry, Deloitte is known for their culture and they will take care of you. All the best.
Defeat does not exist in this Dojo..
Ooh, this Cobra Kai reference makes me happy
Resign and you will get at least 3 jobs in last 15 days of your notice period.
You're here to do a job and you're being paid to do that only. Not to entertain someone. It doesn't matter you're fresher or experienced person. Raise you're voice. Be confident. And straight away go to you're RM , Coache. If still you face this issue. Put you're paper and look for other organizations. Never compromise for the sake of some salary.
I have been in your situation couple of times. Two things you start doing- 1) stop taking anything personally till the time you get out of this project. Just keep focus on work and not ppl. I know its tough. 2) as evryone suggested drop a mail to MD or Service line leader with you concerns. Highlight the mental health issue. Project , people , jobs will come and go. Your mental health, confidence will remain with you.
Resign and look for a better opportunity!
Encountered most asshole seniors in Deloitte USI in my entire career life. Leaving peacefully from here.
I see lot of useful suggestions already provided by people. Just want to add that if you are not happy where you are go to some other place. Mental health is non negotiable.
Have you had any conversations about it or just bottling it up? Best to make use of regular one on one connects to share and receive feedback. I have found this helpful in my journey.
