Joining EY next week and saw on another thread that we have a discount at Herman Miller. Is it more than the 15% off sale they current have going on?

I think it's 25%

Awesome, thank you!

How do we get that discount ?

Where can I find this discount?

Promo code EY25 and use your ey email. However since some of the chairs already discounted it might not allow you to combined a discount.

I would consider waiting until you’re an employee and then you can reimburse certain items through the fitness fund (ergonomic chairs/standing desks)

You can look at all the discounts we have available on perks at work. I believe steelcase provides a bigger discount and can use it towards your wellness funds as well.

Search “ergonomics” from the EY home page. There is like a 10 page slip sheet showing all the office furniture places where we get discounts. Herman Miller, Haworth, Steelcase, etc.

Does EY GDS provides this?

I gave my 2 week notice last week since I accepted a new job, and boss told me to delay telling anyone until he could announce it with a plan for my replacement, since I am the only one left on my team. It is now a full week since then, and he still hasn't said anything. I'm not comfortable committing to work I know I won't be here for, and he's asking me to just pretend, and he will reassign later. Have I given him enough time? I'd like to let some coworkers know that I can't commit to projects

F🐠 here. My neighbor is a restaurateur and texted me today that he’s bringing food from one of his restaurants for another neighbor and “figured [he’d] drop some off for [me] too.” Not sure if this matters but we’re both single.

Probably overthinking this but do I just accept and thank him (but I hate being indebted to ppl), offer to eat it together on our rooftop and I’ll bring the wine (but I’m not interested in him at all), give him a bottle of my house wine in exchange (seems kinda weird)?

Confused if parents want schools to reopen or not? I read so many posts here about how difficult it is to work full time and manage kids’ at-home schooling (I can’t even imagine!) so would assume that means parents want to reopen, but at the same time keep seeing a ton of backlash from parents in states who are pushing to reopen due to safety reasons. What’s the general consensus?

Does anyone have an HSA that you started on your own (not through your employer)? I have one at Further that I started a few years ago as a place to hold cash contributions that I thought I would use for medical expenses. Now I’m looking into providers that might be better choices for investing, but not sure if I can roll over the contributions I’ve made if I may want to use them for past medical expenses I haven’t taken reimbursement for yet. Thoughts on best HSA accounts?

I’m finding that a weird side effect of losing my job in this climate is ad agencies taking advantage of my weakened position. They get in touch, proactively or in response to my reaching out, and they want to hire me as they are in good shape. When I reveal I was laid off, the offer changes to freelance or maybe nothing. My work, awards, the fact that they know me and approached me in the first place should be enough. I don’t want to lie about my situation. Any ideas how to avoid this?

Fortunate enough to have 2 offers on the table 1) In-office Finance Director for 110k 2) Remote Rev Manager for 120k. Remote position also offers more benefits (pto, holidays & sick days). Remote position seems like the better comp package but like the responsibilities more for option 1. Should I try and negotiate with 1 by showing the offering from option 2? Or is remote option the better route?
