Met a CIO of a VC firm for black beauty brands (like my own brand) who was interested in recruiting me as a venture associate - I would directly be working with her and a contracted finance team for due diligence comp analysis etc. after calling her she said they’d want to do a 90 day project before fully hiring me for the role. The thing is its also during the cycle of other jobs like MBB that I was also hoping to apply for. Should I take the 90 day paid project is that common practice in VC?

Hi 🐠- I have 2 interviews (1 first round, 1 final round) to be scheduled with MBB and got postponed due to COVID. Months later I found PM work really interesting and now thinking about devoting time to learn PM and switch. Currently at B4 and MBB used to be my dream. If you were me, will you continue to practice cases to get into MBB or switch gear for PM? Will MBB name get me a better PM job in tech ($, name etc)I don’t have any technical/coding background, but ultimately want to work in tech.

@mck I know I’m going to find out tonight, I just had my first rounds - boy did I ever mess up with the math. I know don’t if it was the early morning lack of sleep due to nerves or what, but math is my strong suit and it just wasn’t on. What are the chances of seeing through that if you make math errors in both cases? Pei went well and other parts of the case felt natural , even though I knew I was offside on math I didn’t let it affect the rest
