Hi everyone! I am a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) and have been with my company for a bit over a year and a half. I am one of the few that has stayed this long, 1 of 2 bilingual techs, and there’s been a high turn over rate in technicians since I’ve start but it has increased drastically lately so in light of that I was thinking of asking for a raise. I currently get paid $21/hr. Any recommendations how I should go about asking for a raise, how much more I should ask for, etc.?

So I am at my first job after college. They lied about a lot of things. It is not diverse, it is not inclusive. Other issues is the management is clueless and I’m contemplating weather I should start looking for other jobs after only being here for 5 months. Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

One of those days where I really can’t stand my job - I’m even entertaining ideas of becoming a baby mama to a rich dude so I can collect child support and don’t have to work here to make money. Ridiculous, I know
