Looks like a massive Exodus happened in Deloitte? Trying to staff a project and there is literally no one to staff with (at least Salesforce practice) and we are having to reach out to contractors. Is this a result of layoffs that happened last year and folks are purely unhappy with pay (not considering project pressure as that can vary/be subjective)? For folks who have been here for a long time, is this a common occurrence or is it especially bad this time around?
My wife was 4 month pregnant when she gave interview at Harman Con. Before interview she clearly communicated same to recruiter and he was fine with that. After interview she got selected and received an offer letter. Which she accepted and put resignation in her current company. to complete 80 days b4 to take pregnancy leave in org she fought hard and negotiated her notice period of 3 months to 45 days only. Now harman is denying to take her onboard. She can't take resignation back. What to do.
Hi fishes, I received an offer from big 4 with 60% hike. My managers wants to retain and I asked them to match if you want me to be retained. Now I got a call from GPM yesterday. He used harsh words like "being greedy" "selfish" etc and offered me 30% in the end. I politely declined but he asked me to reconsider as he said "it would be unfair for the org for you to leave so soon." Let me know a proper response. Also what do you think of this behavior by GPM?
Is anyone else at B4 getting slaughtered? Wait listed everywhere so far despite 760 and above average stem GPA at all schools i applied to. Leadership is probably a weak point for me ill admit but certainly not non existant and I know my ECs are above average. I feel completely blindsided
Kind of ironic that the 2 big 4 firms rated in the top 10 “workplaces to grow your career” by LinkedIn received a high ranking due to their promise to hire X amount of people. Maybe if they didn’t have lay offs like some firms, they wouldn’t need to hire so many people?
Which firms use a single project staffing model aside from MBB? Not interested in B4. LEK - Single ZS - Single Clearview - Single? Putnam- Double Trinity - .... OW - .... Clarion - ... IQVIA - ... BBLS - ...
Why isn’t everyone in big 4 FDD making the move to A&M? Is there something I’m missing? Sounds too good to be true.
I want to go to big 4 from ACN but I don’t understand the difference between advisory and consulting..can someone explain? Pay difference?

If an offer for big 4 experienced associate came up and I really want it but I can’t relocate for another 6 months for reasons. How would it go if I asked to start after the following busy season?

I am seeing a lot of people make a transition from B4 to FAANG, and interestingly MDs at B4 are coming at L7/E7 levels... so it means B4 MDs make less than L7/E7. For some reason I always thought B4 MDs earn close to a Million dollars.. but looks like I am wrong. I always thought MDs are like CEO!! What am I missing?
Hey fishes! Need some guidance here, currently working at a top 10 firm, I like the IT audit work, I enjoy my team, but I’m feeling like this will be my last busy season here as I want to try some place different + get better pay. My main question is… should I go for a big 4 for 1-2 years to gain that experience in my resume and then jump to industry or should I jump to industry directly? TIA
Q re: "executive presence". Joined B4 in my mid 30s, on Partner track by 42, made numbers and top ratings ever since. Now at 46 been told I lack executive presence, when I'd been told I had it every year before. I'm a female 🐠, have gained weight (genetic condition) and obviously aged. How often does this happen? I'm leaving for a CIO role in industry now, but still disappointed that I was rejected because of this (and yes, exec presence was the reason I was told I wouldn't make Partner).
Leaving my position @ Big 4. I want to list some of my engagements on my LI profile, and get some recs from clients who liked me. Thoughts on posting client names or refs?

Cons of looking too young: *opens laptop in coffee shop* "Are you studying?" "NO, I'M TRANSFORMING BUSINESS, BITCH."
Currently make $132k total comp at C, approaching M level. Work 55-60 hours per week. Have an offer for $173k total comp at a M level position in industry. Would be 40 hours per week. Would you take the new job? Or stick it out in consulting in hopes of better long term career/pay progression?
When you just friended your SM on Xbox and you can't decide if that's a good or bad thing for your work-life; but all you can think about is how you're going to kick his ass in Call of Duty.
How were your first weeks of study?
Curious. Were you one of the popular kids in high school or a nerd that came into his or her own later in life? I'd say I was the latter, but curious about the rest of fishbowl.
@Deloitte, Currently doing data analytics in assurance. Looking at a Deloitte analytics role in AERS/advisory. What does an associate do; involve advanced analytics or just mainly data management?
Trying to hold in my laughter as the partner tries to wipe off what she wrote in permanent marker😂😂😂 #clientisnotentertained
How much money is “enough” for you guys? I’ll go first - $2M/year from passive investments so that I can work on whatever I want or not work if I don’t want to.
I just want to scream to 99.9% of people in this industry that we in fact are not heart surgeons and what we are doing is not saving someone's life so people stop freaking out about stupid things.
Does Publicis Sapient require you to travel a lot? Do they have a remote policy? Any work home benefits?
Have to do a case presentation for an interview - is it a bad idea to use my current company? It fits the exact model that they’re looking for and I’m very knowledgeable in this industry
@Hotel Shuttle Driver: I do not want to engage in chit chat at 5 am. Please stop talking and just take me to the airport. #silenceisgolden
Just bought a house and renting it out. I have an idea but need FB family advice where to start, what things I should be aware of etc? Application, credit/background check, lease agreement?
So when I’m in industry I feel unchallenged and bored, but in consulting I feel burnt out and suffocated. How do I work in industry without getting depressed at the environment and demographic?
