I can’t believe I have to wait a god damn hour to reset a password because I’m locked out of my email. This is ridiculous.

Do I need my H1B approval notice in hand to start a new job?

I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.

As a immigrant woman from middle class family, all my life, I felt the need to comprise everything, that I always get the third/fourth best choice because of money. My parents shamed me when I get anything good since I was a kid. So even now even I can afford some good things, I never get myself anything good, and I felt bad about it but still very penny pinching.

Business immigration associate at Ogletree? Offered position, wondering if anyone has insight / input ? Many thanks in advance.

Since George Floyd's murder and the sudden Corporate America "wokeness," I (black guy) have been routinely contacted by unacquainted Partners who explicitly state something to the effect "Client X wants diversity, so we'd like you on this deal..." It really comes across as tone deaf and completely patronizing. I appreciate the efforts to diversity (albeit forced), but Partners really need to learn how to not be so supercilious in the approach. You don't have to overtly state that I'm the quota.

How do you all avoid giving a number when asked for what your desired salary is during interviews?

Earlier this week I was so busy I only pumped three times when I normally pump 6 times. Since then my milk supply fell drastically where I only pump 2 oz each session even if I pump 30 minutes when before I’d be pumping 3.5-5 oz in 15, and it’s been 4 days already. I know it’s silly but I feel sad thinking I won’t be able to feed my baby sufficiently with breastmilk anymore. I’ll supplement but I felt happy being able to provide full breastmilk before and feel a sense of loss now. Just venting

I've been looking for a new marketing role within the tech field again. Does anyone have any leads or know someone who works at Twitter or Amazon? Thanks in advamce.
