Can anyone share the salary range of a Tax Manager in B4 in Toronto Canada? I just want to have an idea before I decide to submit my application.
Does it matter what headphones you use on a zoom interview in terms of looks for prestigious companies MBB, Big 4 and others? I’ve been told that that my Sony noise cancelling headphones don’t look good and I should invest in AirPods.
Has anyone jumped from Big 4 Advisory to Tier 1 Consulting firms (e.g. MBB). Was the jump at the same, higher or lower level?
Is it only EY that people are extremely stressed, overwhelmed with lot of work and pressure? People are leaving every week and then existing teams are dumped with even more work. Is there similar situation with other Big 4?
What is the difference between getting life sciences consulting expertise at a life sciences boutique firm vs at bigger generalist firms (MBB/big 4)? How are the projects different and what type of experience do u gain?
Looking for some advice. In MC at B4. Top performer since I started straight from undergrad (1s my entire career). Been told numerous times partner track, best candidate for partner in the group, etc etc. however, I really am not liking the work I’ve been in. Lately I am running large implementation projects - ERP and other tech. The coaching i have from leadership is this is where the business is going, this will be a great business case, brand etc. Debating trying a switch to MBB (cont).
FYI - you should still get 401k match from your old company if you leave in first few months of new year. Heard differently on this app, but left B4 in Jan and still got employer match in Feb for 2019
Anyone jump from Big 4/boutique firms to an MBB without going the traditional M7 MBA route? If so, how
Accenture AI, Big 4, and MBB which one is the best consulting company for Data Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer role? Thanks.
Startup (with CPA) to Transaction Advisory Services...is it possible? Getting little luck with B4.
2ys in a relationship and both got promoted to Manager in the same field from different B4. I'm finding it difficult to hide stuff like Biz dev activities from her. How do you guys deal with it?
1. Do all partners at same level pull same base salary? (Think two 3rd year partners at the same firm, and exclude variable pay) 2. How does this base pay differ at big 4 vs MBB?
Have those laid off this past year from the Big 4 had any luck landing new jobs? I had a great career but now can’t get the time of day. I am tired of faking enthusiasm that I lost months ago.
Attending Appalachian State University for athletic reasons as I played baseball here. Will finish my degree in Supply Chain Management in December. I want to break into consulting in the supply chain and operations sector in NYC. I would love to connect with anyone in Big 4 - Deloitte , KPMG, PwC, EY and MBB to get some insight on the college recruiting cycle coming up. Currently have a 3.81 GPA, family startup company experience, and restaurant industry experience.
Is traveling ever coming back to B4 advisory?
C3.ai is hiring a ton and has some awesome comp packages. If you have the DS skills and okay with a long interview process hit me up. Made the switch not to long ago and honestly great product/team. DM if interested and I’ll connect you.
New fish looking for career guidance. I'm a corporate recruiter with 3 years of experience. Finishing my degree in HRM 5/2022. I'm thinking of getting my SHRM -CP shortly after graduation. I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm. Has anyone here started off in recruiting and branched out to other HR functions? Do you like your new role? Do you wish you stuck with recruiting?
How much all-in comp to expect in program manager role at Uber in Seattle? ~2 years work experience.
What is the usual salary package of senior managers in leading IT service based companies(Infy, wipro, tcs, cts, accenture, capgemini, hcl and so on). And if they can shortly mention the job pressure and responsibility details. Thanks
I’m entry level (2020 grad). Used to work at an awesome startup before my current job in SaaS. I’ve been ramping at this co. though so I haven’t even gotten the experience yet I want on my resume. But I talked with the startup co-founder about rejoining. I was thinking part time to start, but he says there’s a high chance of a full time job for me there. Startup is 100% remote. My job at current company is client meetings and deliverables. How difficult would it be to work both at once?
Hi-look for a mid level project manager/producer for social and campaigns in NYC. If you’re interested, shoot me a note with your CV at Phillip.Pessaro@mry.com. No recruiters please.
Just laid off. I have so many feelings right now and feel so lost. To those who have gone/are going through this, where did you begin to pick up the pieces? (Cont)
If you take vacation, is the onus on you to make up that billable time? If so, how do you enjoy long vacations?
Does anyone else find it absolutely hysterical that people group MBB/FAANG/PE/VC for the prestige-oriented folks and they never include BB IB 🤣
Hi all, I had a phone screen with a recruiter on 11/23, and he said his coordinator would reach out in scheduling an interview with the practice manager. I haven’t heard from the coordinator and emailed the recruiter this morning but nothing yet. My application is in “interview” status. Should I just move on?
Hi everyone - in the middle of interviewing with a startup and simultaneously receiving answers to b school apps. If I get accepted, should I tell the startup (assuming I get an offer) or would it work against me since I would need to quit in 6 months time?
Hello, I am a CPA thinking about being a CIA too. 1. How long do I have to stay at EY to not have to reimburse the firm? 2. Will it really add value? If not what other certifications you think will ?
For those of you who are married… is there any benefit to having one spouse maxing out 401k while the other contributes none? (Assuming you currently contribute ~10k per year each and can’t afford to both be maxing?)
Would a previous undergrad internship at a firm help with my chances of securing a job offer? Previously interned with EY and didn’t know if that would help me lateral there. I did reject their offer in favor of Deloitte after graduating though, so not sure if that would leave a sour taste in their mouth (did it professionally and respectfully of course, no reneging or being rude).
When the principal tries to explain the project in a client meeting after not being involved for 3 months...
Just got told by managers that my performance hasn't met their expectations. High performer last year. Am I getting fired?
Hi folks, I got an offer from an investment bank with around 30% bump in the base comp. My current firm has already filed my green card and I am currently waiting for I-140 approval. I have three years left on my H1B. The new firm will fie green after one year of employment. Should I make the move or wait for I-140 approval and reject the offer?
