Junior consultants (from undergrad) who recruited for PE. How did your interviews compare to traditional IB recruits’ interviews? Were you still expected to crush LBOs, valuations, and technicals?

Is it dumb or pointless to tell recruiter 'let me know if you need anything additional from me' ? As if it sounds almost too desperate?

Has anyone experienced burnout from interviewing? I’m extremely exhausted because of the extensive interview processes I’ve been through and I’m not sure what to do. I have 2 big interview rounds coming up for roles I really want but I’ve put so much energy into interviewing for other roles that I can’t even focus and prepare for the upcoming 2. Is it normal not to mention on call time in a job description? I just had the weirdest interview, including me mentioning that part of the reason I was willing to take a lower salary is because of on-call time and she said “Oh on-call time is required. They have it every few weeks. That’s in the job description.” Even though it definitely isn’t in the job description.

What does having a referral typically mean for your application? I’ve read here it means your application will “get read,” but would you also be asked to apply to a different role if you don’t fit the one you applied to/another candidate is pursued?

After 10 interviews and a Lunch meeting with the CEO. I’ve been asked to answer and present a business case interview.
