Been at Deloitte for 2.5 years. Currently at SC level. Looking to jump! Is anyone able to assist with a referral? Experience with insurance (employee benefits, unemployment, workers comp), contact center ops, Change Management, Strat Comms, Org Assessment. Looking to get more experience in functional/business roles on tech projects.
what's the firm policy for expensing health related purchases? I'm soon going to buy a bench, couple of free weights and a Fitbit. can this be expensed to the firm? if yes, how? Thanks for the help!
Hey all. Considering trying out Talkspace or Betterhelp, could anyone share experiences with them? Also does insurance cover part of these?
Cancelled my tickets to Tokyo in May after governor issued a stay at home order through June. Non refund. tix. When I called chase reserve they said the insurance doesn't apply for pandemic. Cont
Anyone have experience at 98point6 or CVS Health as a data scientist? Would appreciate to hear about culture, wlb, type of data science/ml being done. Thanks!!
Caused some damage on my car that cost ~$600 to repair. The following week was involved in a hit and run collision on the same side. Would insurance let me combine the claim?
Does McCann Health have their own bowl ?
Anyone (high performer throughout their career) laid off for non-performance related reasons, have you seen a severe dent on your morale and mental health after the layoff? How are you coping with it?
What are your goals for your health/fitness? I got back into fitness/exercise in August after an 8 month hiatus and have been realizing new goals for myself. Curious to hear others’ goals.
I would like to ask for a few recommendations of books that is related to mental health or psychology
SF 🐠: any suggestions for semi-regular weekend volunteering that would leverage a consulting skill set? Preferably healthcare orgs but no clinical background needed. Thanks!
I’m getting married in 6 months. How can I lose fat in my arms?! I feel like my arms in my stomach are my biggest problem areas. Or at least the ones that make me the most self-conscious. And honestly my stomach isn’t that bad, it’s really just my arms. Any advice would help! I’m 27 with no real health issues other than being overweight, and I’m allergic to fish and nuts if that is helpful. I work out at least twice a week but trying to make it more like 4 for at least for the next three months
Does your company's health plan cover infertility treatment? If so, what is the lifetime cap if any? My company just implemented a cap—admittedly we were lucky before—but this new cap of $30k only covers ~$6k in medical expenses (another ~$23k in prescriptions) which wouldn't even get us through one IVF cycle (extract/implant once).
Have an offer from McCann Health - let’s hear it - the good, the bad, the ugly ...need help deciding
My wife sells insurance so I am sure she views me as a customer but I am curious how much life insurance you 30 and 40 somethings have out on yourself?
Is there any healthcare analytics job that requires a top secret clearance? Like I want to get a TS but I have seen a lot of projects dont need a TS for healthcare.
There is a paralegal (not mine) in my firm that is making everyone miserable. She cries at her desk, complains about being overworked and is rude to the other paralegals, staff, and a couple of the attorneys. She is so disrespectful to me that I recently asked to work from home for a month (I am dealing with some other mental health issues and she is too much). My request was granted, and last Friday I was in the office to make sure several motions were filed properly. Continued in comment:
What do the requirements for equity partner look like at your firm? How is origination handled (ie once you bring in a client every new matter is your origination whether they called you or someone else at the firm, whether you do the work, and even whether for insurance clients the adjuster assigning to a colleague doesn’t know who you are)? My firm has one female equity partner- who doesn’t have a family. How can I work to change the mold for others to get there?
I did an emergency project for my company last year. I spent a month working 16-18 hours a day to help get a product out. During this year's bonus/raise cycle we were told there were no merit increases, however I got a hefty retention bonus. I have heard rumblings of another emergency project and don't want to do it unless I get compensated up front somehow for it. What leverage do I have, and what is reasonable to ask for?
Would you take the following offer: Base - ~$180K; Bonus - ~$30K; RSU - ~$15k; Total Comp - ~$225K; F500 firm, not tech, mid-west, individual contributor role with potential for senior roles in 2 years. Good WLB, but not the most interesting industry. Currently working at a T2 Strategy Consulting firm, 2.5 years out of a T10 MBA. $200K all in. 7 YoE. Happy with consulting so far and performing well, but would like better WLB. How much better are tech exit ops given SF cost of living?
Just accepted an offer, but I'm also meeting with a different CCO later this week. I'd like to at least make the connection. Do I just play it like a straight interview and reject it if I eventually get the offer?
Worth trying to lateral to MBB from a T2 if long term goal is pe investments side? Already lateraled once..
Data Scientist at HP vs Data Science Analysis Manager at Cisco (IC), which one is a better position in terms of role and future prospects in Data Science. Years of experience is 6
Setting up a 401k for the first time. Did you decide to do pre-tax or post-tax? Why did you decide that? Retirement savings and options are all overwhelming!
My biweekly post of how I’m a new mom and feel like I’m doing the minimum amount. I feel like I don’t know how to add value anymore. Client may notice, but on some level I don’t care. I’m not even raising my voice in some meetings to just be “heard”. Ugh. I wish I could do better.
Is it more impressive to make manager in 2.5 years at the same firm or move to a different big 4. Im S1, got an offer from another big 4 to be a manager but my firm (also a big 4) wants to make me a manager and match the salary immediately. Assuming the work would be similar, what would look better on my resume? Goal is to make director as quickly as possible and go in-house.
While the idea of Marcel still bugs me, Arthur did bring in good points about advertising needing to be on the front line at events like Cannes: http://adage.com/article/special-report-cannes-lions/publicis-ceo-sadoun-calm-alarm-cannes-ban/309544/
Any insight into TCS M&A group? They reached out offering $200k for an M&A specialist role and would be a significant jump from my current salary. Unsure what they do in M&A space since they focus largely on delivery vs strategy
If your on a day rate and answer some slacks over a weekend you bill right? Like reviewing edits etc.
How are you mitigating the risk of a looming recession on your portfolio (401k and investment) ? I understand time in the market beats timing the market but is there any hedges that can be made ....
I know interview test helps the hiring manger get an idea of how and where candidates would fit in. But this agency I applied, asked for 3 typography layout (business card), 3 KVs. Isn't it too much?
senior consultant level at EY in tech transformation PM work - how much will WLB vary by project? Been on the same project for over 2 years with low hours and incredible team culture, but expecting 25%+ raise if I leave D
An opportunity sort of fell into my lap and wanted to get other thoughts. Internal audit manager role, 100% remote, 20% base increase plus better benefits. I work on a lot of audits on the tax side so am familiar with audit. M4 in big 4, not sold on staying in tax. Would I be qualified and is this a terrible idea?
Corporate strategy (associate level) salary in SF? Not much salary information found on Google search other than for SWE.
Switching from consulting to PE, what should I expect in terms of salary (and potential future earnings) and WLB? Currently an Associate at MBB, and I have startup/tech background. I was approached by a headhunter about this opportunity and I'm super interested, however, would like to know more to see if it's worth it. Thank you!
Anyone have experience with and recommend a tablet/PC for personal use? I used a touch screen laptop for the first time and was got the tech bug
