Congrats on getting out! I did 5 years in consulting and exited to a PE portco in an exec role. Big jump, but don't use comp as a measure of complexity of the job / can you do it. The client hired you for a reason, they think you can do it and you can do it. They key is transitioning out of XLS/PPT being your currency and success definition. Being able to persuade, motivate, influence, gain buy in across the organization is key. You will need to define paths forward and enroll people in joining you. This is often hard for consultants. Feel free to DM me, happy to talk through it with you.

United lost my son's car seat on a 3 hr flight. It was registered as a checked luggage with the proper csrseat tag and everything. Anyway to get points for the inconvenience, I'm Premier platinum if it matters. They did give me a free loaner carseat until mine arrives but it's kinda crappy tbh.

Anyone else tire of the “plant mom” and “dog dad” me too conversation? It seems to be more frequent. I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
