Please explain to me why project codenames are used in the bodies of emails and the names of attachments when it’s painfully obvious from the contents of the attachments and the domains of some people on those emails which company is doing what deal.

Hi experienced sharks. I joined Deloitte as a campus hire in Jan 2021, I am a 2020 graduate. I come from a tier3 institution. In this virtual setup, peer to peer learning is missing. I have completed 1 year of experience in IT, still I feel doubtful of my skills. I don't have much network to discuss this with. I had a long benchtime last yr, though I am staffed onto a project now.. team doesn't talk much. please share your inputs for fast upskilling / points that can help me in my career. TIA.🙏

Might have just made myself look bad, but I’d have done the same thing over again. Started a new client (finally thank God) and was supposed to be the only 1 staffing it. Found out an overseas person was allocated. Reached out to manager/partner - they didn’t realize and both made bad comments about them. So I asked… if I had to work with them. They planned for me to do the engagement alone anyway, and why would I want them if they clearly don’t either?

I just changed my role to project management...I start to hate this when I'm doing the detailed plans. I have never been a detailed oriented person and it takes too much of my mental energy when working on very details. I guess I'm happy about the change I made but still need to find something I want to do in long run.

I’ve never had problem focusing and do work before as creatives. But since moving to a new agency and over seeing more teams under me I find my mind wander when teams are presenting ideas. Most of the time when the ideas are good and I can see the concept I have no problem following along. But it’s when their ideas aren’t clear or wishy washy my mind start to wander and I have to really force myself to focus. 🤷‍♂️ Do I need adderall? Hope not.
