Just turned down a project because it did not involve travel. This is my first time turning down a project and I do not feel good about it.

What should a strategy director be making? If it helps: midsize digital agency, major market, fortune 10 client, directly managing team of 4, top performer (new biz wins, well liked by teams, etc)

I see so many discussions about big law associates billing what is easily just a 9 hour day like the rest of us who work a full time job in and out of the legal world. But nobody complains more about their “lack” of compensation than them. I have no question but just want to say stop complaining. Unless you’re in M&A at Kirkland it doesn’t seem that bad

Is it normal for a creative department to be set up so that only 1 or 2 creative teams get all the “good” briefs (campaign concepts, commercial shoot opportunities, anything with budget) and the rest of the creative teams churn out the “boring work” (banners, social from already shot assets,etc). Are there agencies where opportunities are more even spread out?

What advice do you have for ensuring longer-term stability as an agency owner, especially as so many clients move to project-based contracts rather than AOR? Is everyone freelance/1099s?

I am working a stressful job and my team is very toxic. Due to majority of people working westcoast hours, I usually can’t log off until 9pm at least. It has led to bad sleep and bad routines.
After toughing it out for two (failed) IVF rounds that only resulted in 1 blast that didn’t take, I am considering quitting my job in the near future to take care of my mental and physical health. I hope that this might improve our chances of getting pregnant sooner.

I am an acount manager in sales with 2+ years in the packaged goods industry in Toronto. Base $70,000. No compensation plan. Pipeline $2M. 90% there. Feeling frustrated as it's a contract position and I'm not "eligible" for bonuses even though my whole team will benefit from this win. Spoke with my manager on what I can do/need to achieve to be included in the team bonous payout. Said they want to keep me but nothing concrete. Any advice on how to continue the conversation on this topic?

I been in a real catch 22 about a job offer. Currently I’m an Enterprise SDR at Anaplan. Before that I was a Commercial MDR at DocuSign and an Account Executive at UberEATS.

As an SDR at Anaplan its looking really promising but the base salary is a bit ehh for Seattle - $52k. OTE looks promising. Full benefits and what not. The startup is a building materials startup - Biiibo. They are offering $80k a year. Series A - no benefits and equity, working with SMB a lot. Yes or No?
