I'm in AAS and seeing 65% peer group as an S1. Wonder if EY will start laying off

Too quick for random layoffs. Deals are still happening, pe firms still picking up opportunities - seeing lots of UK/EUR companies being targeted at a discount lately, probably worst performers will always go first, worst case.
On the plus side, given the planned split. The firm needs people to split and hit growth targets. Much less likely for layoffs if NewCo raises a decent chuck of capital on the markets (assureco is generally safer and with 90% TAS people going NewCo they need to rebuild). Can’t build a new company without people. So if anything, the split is a driver to not have significant layoffs. BUT if the split does not go through and all this money was wasted on it at this point, that’s real bad.

Not an issue here.
Can pwc check peer utilization somehow?
Not that I know of. Would be nice though

Seniors in my new firm are round 70%
YTD is >100%
MM here, well above 100% and no sign of slowing.
How do you check peer utilization?

You can check it along with your utilization in mercury -> business reporting -> utilization
I'm just shy of 100% 🙃
