Yep, this is a thing in most immigrant communities tbh.
I was born in America and have a midwestern/neutral American accent. My first (and really only) language is English. I still will slip into a full on Indian accent and change my tone when talking with other Indian people.

E2 Lol it’s not a fake accent, it’s how I’ve talked to my parents, uncles/aunties, cousins, etc. my whole life.
Idk if this is code switching per se, but I am half Japanese and act differently when engaging with Japanese people due to different cultural norms. I would be more subdued and modest for instance. Quite funny
