Just curious, how much PTO do you guys get per year? Comparing benefits between my current job and a job offer I got and my current job provides me with 10 corporate holidays, 3 weeks of paid vacation and 2 floating holidays. I also have the option to buy 2 weeks of vacation. And I have separate sick days. This new job provides one bank for everything (sick, vacation and corporate holidays) and it’s 23 days per year but accrued.

Has a doctor ever suggested that you consider a less stressful job? And if so, are you male or female? I am female and have some chronic conditions. Today at a routine check-up with a new physician, he suggested maybe because of my "medical conditions" I think about a less stressful job. I have never received that advice from the specialists I see for those conditions, and I find it unlikely that a doctor would suggest this to a male patient. Does anyone have any insight?

Just starting to learn about all of these beyond the basics (401k, Roth 401k), like HSA, FSA for childcare, additional childcare credit, dependent credit, 529, healthcare indemnity payout for delivery, etc) and it seems like there’s a new one to learn about every day.

What are favorites and what are some things you wish you’d learned about earlier?

We went to a wedding and husband was not wearing a mask at the airport and in public places . He gets Covid and we find out several of the guests also got Covid . No way of knowing who was patient zero. We have a toddler who has symptoms (tested negative) but now can’t go to daycare and I’m also not feeling well but still negative. I’m angry with my spouse since even when he was sick he didn’t mask at home and refuses to isolate in his room (would eat in the living room).

If I've maxed out my TFSA, should I continue investing through an RRSP or a personal investment account?

For context, I also have a good pension. My main concern is that while the RRSP will be nice to lower my taxable income now, I'm worried when I retire I'll have to withdraw too much from both the RRSP and pension. Thoughts?

I’m a solar electrician at sunrun. I focus mainly on energy storage systems such as Tesla batteries. Currently making 93k a year with Lots of OT that push me into 150k a year. Previously a senior manager in product/ analytics with 5+ reports and significant scope at a F50. Took a “manager - strategy” role with no reports in tech 6 months ago for better pay intending to progress back to people management but company downturn has made that unlikely. What should I use for my current title on resumes so it doesn’t look like I regressed or am too junior? I’ll be aiming for senior manager and director roles but don’t want the current “manager” title to hold me back.
