Whatever it takes to max it out. Huron gives a dollar-for-dollar match up to 6%, which I believe is better than the previous firms for which I’ve worked, including ACN and Deloitte. Max it every year, take advantage of company stock matching - get every “free” dollar they offer.

ACN is 100% match up to 6%

Indian here. I max it out. I don’t plan my investments based on political circumstances. It’s detrimental to be in two minds while planning your investment when the investment is independent of your worries.

Yep that makes sense

20% to max out

Between our contributions and those from our firms, my spouse and I end up with the max of $56k each (or 20% of gross) in our 401k plans

Damn, that’s awesome. Thanks for explaining

I do 11% to max out pre tax contributions

Max is the match or the max your company allows?

D3 - greed? That's literally how wages work. Earners and pays each claim a share of value creation and negotiate to a number.

I am joining EY at rank 42 . What relocation reimbursement cap can I expect as nothing is explicitly mentioned in the offer letter. Also, my previous firm is making me pay back the retention bonus and also recovering the certification cost since I am leaving with an year of certifications. Will any of this amount be covered under notice pay reimbursement ?

EY is just shafting us this year. Reducing cell phone reimbursement, getting rid of platinum status and now shitty holiday "celebrations."

Seeking to benchmark 401K investment - I am 37, with cumulative $230K in 401K. Currently investing at 12%. Spouse investing at 6%. Have another $250K in other hard and liquid assets (mostly home equity, and some crypto). Trying to gauge if I need to be more aggressive on 401K or good with current pace.

I wanted to get your opinions on an offer I’m going to receive from EY working in their climate change practice as senior consultant. EY offer: 95k plus 10k signing bonus as senior 1 consultant. I told the recruiter that I make a similar salary and other benefits and that I want higher offer. Thoughts?

How much stock do you put on benefits? I have two offers with stark differences in benefits. Job 1: role I want, but benefit sucks (2 weeks paternity leave, 20% coinsurance). Job 2: role is okay but higher level and great benefits (16 weeks paternity, 0% coinsurance, 5 more days of vacation). Total comp is the same though. I wonder if I should just focus on role but Job 2 is a large company, so I can move around after 2-3 years I’d expect. Thoughts?
