Not at all!!! And if you wanted to drop a picture here, that wouldn’t be a bad thing either - sounds dreamy! 🥰
I can’t even get a dude to consistently call me. If I had a four carat engagement ring from a man that treated me well and made me happy, there’s nothing anyone could say to me about wearing it. Happy for you!!!!
Amen, sis 🤣.
Not at all! I’m sure it’s gorgeous! Wear it with pride. Congratulations to you and your groom!!
Sis wear the ring and talk in ASL if you can.

Unprofessional, no. You may have some people who judge the ring, but that’s their problem, not yours. As long as you love it, wear it! Congratulations!!
Just don’t have it on during compensation meetings....
Not unprofessional. FWIW, I wear just my wedding band when going to trial. Jurors can be weird about jewelry.
I agree with associate 6 on wearing it for jury trials specifically. Anytime else, GO FOR IT
Congratulations! It’s not unprofessional, but I would consider reading the room depending on your practice area.
I love my 3ct ring (I mean, I would hope so - designed it), but I don’t think it’s worth wearing it in some settings (e.g., when conducting investigative interviews, meetings with some of my pro bono clients, some court appearances). My rationale is that I don’t want to further add to anyone’s discomfort because of a perceived disparity in wealth or status or whatever. And even if the reaction is due to jealousy or judgment, I don’t want to give anyone reason to discredit me or tune me out on such a trivial basis.
I actually designed one of wedding rings to stand alone as an eternity ring if I want a little bling, or I just wear a simple gold band from Catbird. This has worked out as a happy medium for me. BUT for now? Enjoy being engaged and your ring!
This is a genuine question—why does someone’s engagement ring have any correlation to what they are personally making? My husband bought me mine, it is directly correlated to his salary, not mine. Why does it then reflect on my salary?
Dayummmmm! Congratulations!be proud of that and show it off!
Congrats !! 🥰
Not at all! Congrats!!
Also, supposedly juries trust women with wedding rings more than they do single women.
Not at all! Rock that rock!! 🍾💍 congrats!
Congrats! Picture please!! :D
Wear that beautiful sparkler. If anyone provides a uncomplimentary comment, that reflects their issues and their insecurities, not your professionalism.
Not at all!!! Congrats.
Congratulations! I’m sure he’s proud of his stunning gift as well so be proud of it and wear it!
No.
Not unprofessional at all! But if you find yourself feeling self-conscious and you feel like it’s a distraction from your work, you’re justified in having those feelings. I have two friends, talking about engagement with each other, the guy is in BigLaw and the woman wants to do public interest. He wants to give her a ROCK. And she feels very uncomfortable about that, because she will be working with not-so-rich clients and doesn’t like the safety threat + social discomfort. Both of their feelings are totally valid. So... it’s complex. But if you’re comfortable with the ring, it’s just a “them” issue, FUCK “them.”

Congrats!! I would not take it off 🤩
