In my experience - if you get staffed with partners you didn’t work with as a Trainee, they will assume that you will run with and manage your work streams on deals and they won’t review your documents the way they would have when you were a Trainee. With the title of first year associate they just assume you know the drill and certain things can be delegated to you and be sent straight to client - whereas as a Trainee, it seems to be 100% fine to ask for basic docs to be reviewed because “you’re just a trainee”. This however, has been my personal experience only. On this basis I would just make sure that your documents (which would mostly be ancillary documents I assume?) are as close to perfect as possible so they can be sent out without any or much review.
