Just found out I am pregnant. Excited to start a family, but also feeling some mixed emotions as to whether or not we are really ready for this, and I'm freaking out a bit. Normal?

If you didn't have those mixed emotions I'd be very concerned. Your high emotional ties to this event are what is causing it, showing that you are a caring, thoughtful person who wants the best for her family. While you may not feel fully ready, that fact itself says you're absolutely the right person at the right time. CONGRATULATIONS! best of luck, and catch up on sleep NOW!

Congrats!!! No one is ever ready. One day at a time! Hugs. 👩🏻‍⚖️

As a guy I had those thoughts and I didn't even have to do the hard stuff like actually be pregnant.... So yeah, totally normal. No one is ever fully ready, yet somehow we all make it work. You got this!

When leading a team through a reasonably large process change (e.g. changing from non existent to… something), is it a better idea to adopt a Big Bang approach (huge change, but all at once) or through smaller iterative changes (over many months)? What are the pros / cons of either approach? And any suggestions for dimensions to keep in mind when deciding?

Thoughts on timing baby number 2? The original plan was two kids less than 4 years apart; I was planning on trying this summer, but decided to delay because COVID. My daughter just turned 3, and I'm back and forth between just giving in and trying now so they're more closely spaced, or waiting until there's a vaccine even though they'll be further apart in age than I'd like. Thoughts? I'm 31 so biologically I'm not in a huge rush but I'm really starting to feel the baby fever.

We recently had a child and now looking to do some recurring investment to secure his future (higher education, marriage, medical etc), looking to withdraw 15-17 years down the lane. Hope to learn more if you bought an apt in Manhattan, or if you decided against it (renting/moving to upstate/Long Island/Jersey). My husband and I are considering to have a baby soon and are thinking of buying and living in Manhattan for the next 10 years or so (looking at property under $2M). Please share what you considered as you were making the decision - I hate throwing away rent but also don’t want to trap ourselves in significant financial obligations. Thanks!

As a immigrant woman from middle class family, all my life, I felt the need to comprise everything, that I always get the third/fourth best choice because of money. My parents shamed me when I get anything good since I was a kid. So even now even I can afford some good things, I never get myself anything good, and I felt bad about it but still very penny pinching.
