I have it too. Found out when I couldn’t get pregnant. It’s like the medical community outside of fertility doctors refuses to acknowledge its existence.

It’s only harder to get pregnant because you don’t necessarily ovulate every month. I found out I had it when I was 30. How are your blood sugars? Metformin can be prescribed and it regulated my period, leveled out my estrogen, testosterone levels as well as lowered my blood sugars. I actually got pregnant while on the pill at 34 and then again at 45 (not on the pill) without trying at all - lol! Both are happy, healthy kids. 😊

Diagnosed when I was 26. Best info I’ve gotten are form dietician’s vs doctors. Find someone whose health/food goals that are in line with yours and just start making efforts of changing lifestyles. It’s hard, but worth it to keep your body healthy.
Pcos causes a lot of underlying risks to escalate -heart attacks, heart issues, cholesterol, metabolism, hormonal, eating disorders, etc, it’s a lot more than just a fertility issue.
The internet is overwhelming, don’t do drastic things related to diet/exercise (stress makes hormones worse). Find some easy ways to include things/swap foods.
I researched foods that are higher in the vitamins/things that affect hormones and try to incorporate where I can.
I never understood why all my friends and I would eat similar things, and go to Orangetheory together, they would lose weight and I would gain. After talking with endos and dietitians, realized HIIT workouts left my body in constant stress state. On top of an overly stressful career. Made the change to barre/yoga/strength training with daily dog walking and have lost 10 pounds in 2 months with no food changes really.
Def monitor your labs, blood sugar, thyroid, fertility hormones. Medications can help get these things back on track while you try to balance things more naturally if you choose.
