Ginger candy and sour stuff apparently help. Also don't go to places that have a lot of smells (e.g. a food court) because your sense of smell will be heightened and you can easily be triggered if you're hit with a lot of smells.
Gin Gin ginger candies are the only way I survived. Also, make sure to find an out of the way bathroom. Puking with the client in the next stall is less than ideal
You might not get nauseous - not everyone does. To me it was all about eating regularly and drinking water / sparkling water.
Same
Jolly Ranchers and saltine crackers helped me function. Never let yourself get hungry, snack constantly.
I wouldn’t do it until nausea becomes a problem but vitamin B6 and a half a unisom at night. It’s basically the over the counter version of the prescription someone mentioned above
I carried lemon / lime juice with me and added it to my water the whole first trimester - it worked great!
100%! I made sure to eat consistently and listened to my body/baby when it came to what to eat. Baby #1 was all about citrus, fish, and apples (often in pie form). Baby #2 was all about cheese, broccoli and pasta. There was no fighting it. 😂
I threw up constantly and hid it until 20 weeks. Figure out when your nausea is the worst and ty to work from the hotel. I found if I actually went to bed early (say 830 pm) and got up by 430 or 5am, I could be okay at the client site at 830 or 9am after a few nauseous hours and throwing up in the AM. I also tended to get nauseous around 3/4pm so would have crackers at the ready and block my calendar for “personal” so I could leave and throw up if need be.
Ask for a prescription for Diclegis. It worked WONDERS for me with traveling
I was so nervous about this and literally staked out all the available restrooms at my client site, including finding the one single stall bathroom on site. In the end, my nausea was bad but I only needed the bathroom once :-). Ginger altoids became my best friend!
Thank you everyone! This is my second one but the last time I just had a quick 45 min flight and my first trimester fell over the holidays so the only time I got sick sick I happened to be at home ... now I’m traveling to the west coast and there’s no holidays right now to stay at home
So, I got oddly airsick. Try peppermint oil under your nose, too.
