Just found out I’m pregnant with our second — happened way faster than the first time around so still in shock, but getting excited. Starting to worry about all the “2 under 2” things But of all the things that freak me out the most about this pregnancy is that It means I’m stuck in this job 😭 I am so unmotivated and was just getting energy to maybe start looking, but no way I could give up 6 months of leave.

Can you do an internal role? Switch it up?

Agree 6 Mos of leave is so so worth sucking it up and staying. I did the same.

Congrats mama!! I have a 6 month old and 2 year old. Planning to job search when the baby turns 1.

My oldest two are 18 months apart. Early months are hard because you basically have two babies but on different schedules and with different interests. But, once baby starts sleeping well it’s actually totally manageable. And then when they get slightly older they entertain each other and have tons of fun. Our two and three year old girls have so much fun and really play together.

I feel you. There is hope. I went through the exact same thing a year ago. My boys are 20 months apart now. Couldn’t bear the thought of giving up my leave so I paused my search and made a plan to hunt and network while on Mat leave. I planted seeds and started networking before the baby came and was able to secure an offer while on leave. Starting in a few weeks. Your plans just went a like crooked, but you’ll get back to where you want to be. Welcome to the 2 under 2 club, little sleep, but lots of love :)
