I have an offer from MBB at my MBA program but I’d lose my sponsorship with LEK if accepted (they won’t match it). Interviewed for exposure. How easy would it be to lateral to MBB after I put in 2 post-years with LEK? Are the cases a little more relaxed then? The FOMO😖
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Is a MBA necessary / helpful to move up in product management if you don’t have a tech background? Considering making the jump from consulting to PM and want to know if I’ll have issues not having one
If I'm on H1B and start an MBA program in Fall 2018, can I quit early and take the summer off and stay in the States? Or would I have to go back to India for that period? OR is it better to keep working until the date on my new I-20? Purely from a legal perspective, not financial.
Individual from undergrad got an MBB offer and asked what to do to prepare in the time before starting. What do you recommend? Do you recommend something different for MBA's?
Anyone going to the National Black MBA conference this year in Chicago? It’s in September.
How to get more business acumen/knowledge? I am currently data engineering/analytics consultant looking to get into bizops/strategy. I can't pursue a MBA atm. More details in comments.
Is there a list somewhere that details which companies require a GMAT or GRE score for post-MBA job applicants / on campus recruiting?
PE is notorious for being difficult to get into unless you’re coming from IB. However, there are success stories for consultants breaking into PE even without an MBA. Which got me thinking, how difficult would it be for a healthcare management consultant to land a spot at a healthcare-focused PE firm?
Looking for specifically Management Consulting profiles, that have 2+ years of experience in Banking & FS space- solid understanding of operating model, roles& functions in banking space ( some familiarity with job evaluation would be appreciated). The person should have some exposure to Rewards. Ideally, a Mumbai based profile would be excellent; however if willing to relocate to Mumbai, that's fine too. post MBA experience of 3-7 years would be encouraged. Please DM me, if intetested

What are some examples of post MBA job opportunities for those looking to stay in healthcare? I’m aware of the LDP programs from the big pharma companies, but haven’t seen too much else in my research
What's the range for M3s? Trying to see if I will get anything. Currently at less than 200k. Not a homegrown and have tier2/3 MBA
Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
Which mba predicting website/service did you use to test the possibility of getting to the b schools? Is that only possible via a private consultant?
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
In choosing an MBA concentration, should I go for finance, general management, operations, or innovation? Leaning toward the fourth while taking lots of finance classes. Goal is biz dev roles in tech and/or growing startups
What should be the next certification that I should get? I have the CFE. I’m targeting the CFCS and the ACAMS as the next ones that I should get. Any thoughts on which one I should get 1st? Pros/Cons
It just occurred to me that part of why I like posting on Fishbowl is that no one knows my gender
I had an interview with Facebook for a manager role in the 3rd week of October. I still haven't heard back after that, after 3 emails to the recruiter she said they will get back to me when they have an update. Is this normal? Does it take 3-4 weeks between rounds? Or, is this a bad sign.
Anyone watch Arvind Subramaniam’s interview on NDTV. Slowing economy, exports and tax revenue down. BJP needs to wake up
Do you think WFH will end in every country once vaccines are available to everyone? What if you don't get the vaccine?
gender equality is great and all but god dammit what i wouldn't do to have the first day of my period off from work.
Would anyone that has moved from Big 4 to MBB be willing to chat for 15-30 minutes? I’m hitting a point where I am enjoying consulting (advisory) but I’m not sure the idea of narrowing in on a specific industry and exact skillset appeals to me. Seems like MBB is broader and I’m curious (also not assuming I could even get in, but I want to explore the option).
My mental health has been rapidly declining over the last couple weeks to where I end up crying every day. I need to talk to someone at work, but am scared to do so. 😪
anyone know of any cool companies using data science or machine learning for medical devices, motion planning, medical imaging, medical research, or to build health tech?
Hey Folks - Any one use their FSA $ towards a dietitian or nutritionist? If so, could you share your experiences? I'm considering Working Against Gravity but I don't think we can use our FSA. It also appears 'nutritionist' is unregulated and a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is needed for the expense of a nutritionist's services.
Anyone have an SO in academia? My SO and I have been together five years, and he just got a tenure track faculty role. I’m so happy for him, but it’s in smaller city that’s five hours away from the nearest metropolitan area, which makes my job situation tough. Continued.
My grandmother passed away recently, and I thought I would be very sad and cry, but I am not and I wonder if there’s something wrong with me. I was very sad and cried when she fell ill three years ago, but when she passed away I don’t think what I felt was sadness, more like emptiness... Is this normal? I’ve never had someone close to me pass away and I feel terrible because I am not crying.
If you have a short term (4 weeks) projects on a client, do you need a h1b amendment or just regular LCA?
I don't understand the need to drop MOAB (Mother of All Bombs) to take out 30 guys in caves. Wouldn't a surgical strike do ?, feels like a bazooka being used to shoot a pigeon ....

Pregnant with verbal job offer - how to negotiate maternity leave? I am only a few weeks pregnant and I have a great job offer. There are two points I want movement on (1) equity (2) maternity leave. The company offers new employees with <1 year tenure 14-16 weeks unpaid mat leave (+ whatever I get from CA state short term disability program which is less than half my salary). This is a 300+ person unicorn company that is really excited about me. What’s worth pushing for here?
