Some Sunday truth!!!
Hello Fishes,
I had given interview Mindtree and cleared both technical rounds. On Tuesday 29 March 2022, I got a call from HR for the final discussion. After that I have not received any response.
I have been calling the HR and her manager, both are not responding to mail or calls.
Is there a way to get some information if my candidature is still in progress or is this delay natural? I have another offer from another company, but am more interested in joining Mindtree.
Is it good to leave the company in 2 months?

This is very common and frankly I am surprised it isn’t more. Annual raises over time don’t typically keep up with inflation or changes in market value.
Moving up or moving out every few years or asking for a raise beyond 2-4% is the only way to maximize pay, if that is the priority.
Find another job offering a higher wage, bring that to your manager and say you’d like to stay here if you can get a raise, if not you have to move on to better opportunities.
Shouldn’t have to do that but I understand what you’re saying. Thanks
Ask for a review of internal equity
This is a great idea! Has anyone done this successfully before?
Talk to manager first. When working for AlliedBarton, some realized new officers were making more. We all had to pass a simple test and we got raised. If that don’t work, try next level or HR.
How do the salaries at your company compare to the industry standard? If they're on the low end, I would explore other options, but if not, I would wait to make a raise request until your annual review.
How do you figure out what the industry standard is? Many companies don't even post wages in their job descriptions.
It's frustrating how common this is. Has the company otherwise been fair to work for? Do you think there is any chance of retaliation for your bringing it up? If not, I'd be bringing it up to the manager or HR.
75 cents more per hour? That can really add up every week! Ask to be at least at the internal salary of those at your position or leverage your 4 years to go above that by at least 5-10%
Get a new job. To make more you have to move around. Staying at one job too long doesn’t pay
Clearly state your request for a raise during the meeting. Be specific about the amount you are seeking and why you believe it is justified based on your contributions and the market value of your role. Back up your request with the evidence and research you've found.
I take it you're not in a unionized position. The first thing I would do is call the Labour board and get some information.
