This pandemic has been bad. Disrupted (prevented) exercise routine due to living circumstances and health reasons, my interpersonal skills at work have been dulled significantly. Today, September 30 I received an invite for an initial interview for another opportunity. So I applied to this opportunity through networking on August 10 (!). Honestly so sick of recruiters, I had someone tell me that most people leave public accounting for less money than they made in audit.... so let me get this straight, we work hard for 2-3 years so that we can find a job that pays less? I make 300k a year but pay a significant amount in fed, state and local taxes due to living in NYC. I max out my 401k already. Any other ways to decrease my taxes so I can save more and retire early?
