Just got a follow-up from an interview, after I gave notice I got another offer. The hiring manager said he was still looking for candidates because no one has stood out to him and that if I had given a follow up a little after the interview I might have been extended an offer. What should I do and how?

It depends on a lot of factors about the two positions (salary, how aligned to your goals, etc), but I would think the hiring manager’s reaction is representative of a culture you don’t want to be a part of; you shouldn’t have to send a follow-up email to get a job. Sure, a follow-up email is a nice courtesy, but disregarding a good candidate because of that seems silly to me and like a representation of broader cultural issues there

Thanks for that, I appreciate the perspective.

It’s a two way street. Why didn’t they follow up? Were you part of the group that didn’t stand out?

like

No idea, we had some in depth industry conversation and shared common interests. From the way it was worded his decision not to pursue further was on that I didn't follow up.

Please clarify, you already received an offer from a company and you gave your notice to resign from your current position. A hiring manager just followed up with you regarding a position you interviewed for, saying that they’re still looking for candidates and that if you would’ve followed up you would’ve maybe gotten an offer?? He is not making you an offer at this point so just continue with the offer you did receive. Please clarify if I’m wrong lol

I have gotten the advice that not following up after an interview comes across as lack of interest on the part of the candidate.

If you decide to pursue, you'd have to reassure him of your enthusiasm for the company, position, and him as a mgr.

I might not judge the entire company culture or that mgr on that one interaction, but if there are other red flags, watch out. If Company B's culture and hiring mgr vibe are A+, I'd stick with that.

Holy cow, that's petty and aggressive. Would not want to work there.

It depends on what you want. There is nothing wrong with taking the offer you really want. You want to be happy where you are not regretting what could have been. I say go for it. Just thank the one you didn't take for the opportunity but you where given a better offer. Never feel guilty for wanting better for yourself.

Like most tech companies, about a year ago my company started hiring remote employees. we all worked remotely for 24 months.

Now that we are reopening our offices, no one seems to be coming into the office yet. I really do not want to work remotely anymore, and I’m seriously considering changing jobs just to go back to a workplace where people are in person.

Is anybody else in this position? I feel like I am losing my mind working from home for two years with no end in sight.

I got selected in WIPRO and today I got to know they are offering me SAP Successfactor Learning-Lead position.

I think they will be giving me Band B3 (correct if my understanding is wrong). My HR round is tomorrow. What is the expected CTC for this band.

Hi all,
I've gone through 4 interviews at a large company and I butchered the 4th one with the VPS. I felt I could've answered some questions better however I wasnt the most prepared. I did kill the first three with my boss to be and his boss so there is that.

The VP said that I would probably speak to his boss while he figures out the logistics at the end of the interview and I didn't ask great questions but i'm not sure if that's a for sure thing.

How does y'all prepare the for last one
