If you are a health care professional that has contracted COVID and recovered, what is some advice you are giving your patients?
The federal stance is shifting regarding the reopening...”He [President Trump] demanded that all of the nation’s schools reopen for the fall semester — until, suddenly, he allowed for some wiggle room.” The Washington Post https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trumps-week-of-retreat-the-president-reverses-course-as-the-coronavirus-surges-out-of-control/2020/07/24/bf680c2c-cdc2-11ea-91f1-28aca4d833a0_story.html
My principal approached me in the car pick up line on Friday to inform me that I’ve taken to many days off & school has just started. I took 1day off when my daughter tested positive for Covid, I had an doctor’s appt that had been scheduled 6 months ago to see the hematologist. Being that I’m anemic, current labs showed I need to have 2 iron infusions. I put in for 2 more days off to have that done. He told me in the future to wait until a work day! We done have any until December!!
How are you ladies dealing with social life and navigating the uncomfortable conversations around COVID protocols before you meet up? What do you do if the people in your friend group have very different ideas around what constitutes an acceptable level of risk?
Any female fish in the San Francisco Bay? With the pandemic, it’s so lonely out here - I’ll love to hangout, watch movies, go hiking etc. I am COVID negative! IM me. I am 6ft 1in tall, athletic and look great.
Do any real people actually want schools to reopen as it stands now? Im hearing so much about it but it feels like a weird disconnected political thing and not a live humans with kids thing. *Obv the goal is to get covid under control so kids can go back safely, this is assuming infection rates stay steady or continue to climb
My sisters coworker is a confirmed case of Covid - do I need to alert my own coworkers? (We live together which is why I’m worried but unsure of etiquette)

Does anyone maybbbbbe think that this new “spike” in corona virus cases could be possibly caused by these massive riots in every major city? Not saying the riots are bad or wrong, but let’s not kid ourselves and say these aren’t a contributing factor. So when people are surprised at the USAs rising rates, I mean come on...

If you care about the economy, remember how poorly Republicans bungled the COVID response the next time you're at the ballot box.
Looking to lose 10-15lbs that I had gained during covid. Going to a wedding in 2.5 months that is my main motivator. The past 2 weeks I have been doing well - tracking what I eat, buying healthier groceries and working out 5x a week. Then Easter hit and I went to my family’s lunch, and ate way too much unhealthy food. My mom sent me home with lots of food which I ended up eating most of yesterday. Didn’t workout either days. How can I stop myself from spiraling? Usually I’d give up at this point
Hello Consulting moms, I was wondering if anyone moved States after COVID? I live in Virginia (15min from DC) and we’re thinking to move to Texas. Dallas or Austin not sure yet. Any recommendations/advice? My son will be starting Middle-school. 😩 Thank you so much!
Has anyone done a math lesson on the growth and analysis of the corona virus? If so how did you present it and what resources did you use?
I spoke to a Senior Manager earlier today and she told me they are looking to hire experienced and qualified candidates who have the below requirements: 1) Bachelor’s degree 2) CPA certification 3) 3-7 years of Accounting or Audit experience 100% remote. Then, post COVID traveling will vary. Please, if you meet the above requirements or know someone who does and is interested in joining Deloitte send me a private message. I will have you send your resume and I will forward to Senior Manager.
Currently a senior analyst (1.5 YOE) at AFS, anyone at Deloitte have an idea at what level I'd be hired at? Pay range? Looking at an agile role (have certs)

Hello All, Looking to learn how California employers are capping accrued vacation. Say accruals increase with years of service and at 10 years an employee accrues 4 weeks per year, versus at 1 year an employee accrues 2 weeks per year. What is the cap for the 1 year (2 weeks) versus the 10 year (4 weeks)? For example, do you cap at 1.5x across the board? Or, does the accrual cap change?

Transitioning from full time agency life to be a freelancer and/or part timer. How have folks negotiated their rate, hourly vs day? For reference, I’m in the Account/Project Management space and have 8+ years of experience. And I’d ideally like the rate to result in more $$ than what I was making when salaried. Thanks!
I got the J&J vaccine (only one I could get back in April) and unlike the MRNA vaccines, it looks like there is very little data on how it performs against the Delta variant. Any other J&Jers out there feeling a little nervous?

Went from wanting to only focus on my career and not even wanting kids to now wanting to be a SAHM while I raise kids and go back into a more relaxed job. Has anyone else had a crazy shift in thinking like that? Been single this whole time, so no one is influenting this
Recently transitioned to a startup and my confidence has skyrocketed. Presenting, interviewing, making my point heard are SO much easier when I’m working with colleagues and not clients who I feel don’t want me there. For those who struggle with confidence, there is hope!
What the what?! 6 hour delay in DFW, missed all client meetings. Guess I'm a real consultant now?
