When everyone at the client keeps on saying "it's Friday" and all I want to say is "shut the F up, it's not Friday for us".
TFW when your SM announces to the team that your manager is leaving the project while the manager is out on PTO. -_-
Do we need to edit client hours to 0 for Holiday manually? I could see 8 hours holiday is already added automatically and still project hours are showing as 8 hours. Please clarify recently joined in D usi.
I'm working on an account that consists of 3 other agencies, each one has it's own project manager. One of the lead PMs developed the timelines for 2019 campaigns and all the rest of us are to (contd)
Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.
Every SM or partner when they say this project would be the best career building opportunity ever!
Starting to get more involved in the project sales process - any recommendations for books or resources to develop skills in this area?
How do you deal with: SM feels your work (eg deck/ spreadsheet) is bad. Takes your work and gives it their favourite resource who presents it to the client without a change and it's all good!
Lots of us are skilled at delivery but most sales books seem to focus on the pitch and closing... What are your best resources for learning to develop and nurture strong, lasting client relationships?
Main reason for weekend work? Client demands, incompetent MDs, you don't work efficiently?
Accenture CN peeps, my manager has not been able to staff me to a project for 2 weeks now after my release from one of the projects where the role as as good as content manager’s. I had voluntarily asked for my roll off as the role was just to upload come content on various platforms. They tried allocating me to some internal project but I asked them to staff me on a client facing project. I want to know what is the impact of all this on your performance or relationship with manager etc.?
When I was in industry, I started presenting to SVPs as an intern. Now my manager says I’m too junior to present to an SM on the client team (I’m a level 10). This is a little upsetting
If have you been in a project doing/competing for the same work with other consulting company... How was your experience?
I thought I was ok with no raise and bonus due to Covid-19 but after two months of around the clock work, internal and client facing, I want my checks.

New-ish analyst currently on the bench. Any tips on how to network and find a good project that aligns to my skills? I go to events and reach out...what else can I do? What works for you?
Anyone else find it funny that we "propose" projects to our clients and if we win the work it's called an "engagement"? I've been at my client so long I guess I'm in a marriage now
Perks of being laid off and working local: no more flight and hotel reminders, no more shitty project, less politics and back biting. After 10 years I can say I have a life now.
on PTO today. ate a gummy after lunch. remembered right after it kicked in that i had a client presentation in 15 minutes. with the cmo 🙃
Has anyone heard of the Natalist? I found their Parent Plans book but the only reviews are directly on their site. Alternatively, are there any recommendations for books my husband and I can read to begin preparing to have a child? I can’t just get pregnant and figure it out, I need to try to go in informed (understanding that there’s no way to truly prepare). Expecting Better and Crib Sheets have very polar reviews and don’t quite fit the bill for me. TIA!
Just annoyed and ranting. Got 2 denials for credit card apps. I know I’m an immigrant but I’ve a 710 score despite of short history. How do I get better cards???
Freelancers - what are you charging these days? Hourly Rate / Years of experience / Area of Expertise
Recently engaged and want to stay somewhere tropical using my Hilton points. What are the best Hilton resorts I should look into?
📣 I'm a social strategist with 5yrs experience looking for a new position in Atlanta. Do you know of any agencies hiring? Also any tips on client-side roles would be helpful. 🧩🎯📈
Anyone move to the US on an L1B and go through the green card process? If so, how long did it take (from date of arrival) and any tips / watch outs?
What’s the correlation between compensation & happiness? I have never been a very happy person (depressed from time to time) and my comp is only 150k. What compensation do I need to reach so that I can become immediately happy? 200k, 300k, 500k?
Objectively attractive female here. MBA educated. Former model. Accepting bf applications from MBB. Serious applicants only 😘
I have to say, R/GA is probably by far the worst “agency” to work at. Their culture and core values as a company are close to zero. This agency is heavily sugar coated. Welcome to R/GJail.
Capgemini - 18.5 + 1.5 bonus Genpact - 20.5 + 1 bonus Keeping in mind that, Capgemini has Esop option too. Please help me choose among these two.
Any DFW folks here familiar with Kings Ridge neighborhood in Plano? Please share any reviews if you stay close by or in this neighborhood.
What is the point of recruiters. This isn’t to troll but I really don’t understand the point of recruiters. For the efficiency we all so dearly chase, won’t recruiters be an easy trim - esp the HHs working for third party firms.
Okay if you’re applying to other places and don’t want anyone to know, who the hell do you put down for a reference?
How long does it take to get a green card from filing the I-140 and I-485 concurrently under EB-1 for an EU national? Do I have to wait for GC to move jobs? Or can I move with EAD?
I recently got a verbal from B4 firm but have yet to receive the written (going on 2 weeks now). I have recently received another verbal offer from a different B4 firm. How should I negotiate with the original firm for more $? What would you say? This is my first time switching jobs so fairly new.
I can honestly say that working from home these last few years has been the best thing that’s happened to my career as a producer. I never realized how distracting being in an office was. Now, I actually can focus on bidding, scheduling, reviewing contracts, and all of the stressful parts of production WITHOUT having to factor in code switching and a commute. I left my agency producer role for a fully remote producing role and I’m just….thrilled. Anyone else refuse to go back to office? 😩
I’m new to investing and putting money aside for retirement. I started putting money into my 401k for the past 2 years (though I may need to increase the amount since it’s half the IRS limit). I looked into a Roth IRA but I don’t qualify- where else can I put my money? I have emergency funds already covered. Thanks.
