How to approach it?
1) Network - send out coffee chat emails to alums or any professional at the firms you want to apply to
2) Prep technicals, behaviorals
3) Insights/Diversity programs - look for any that are still open and apply ASAP if you qualify, they can lead to an accelerated interview process
4) Find when apps usually open

Hey, guys I'm currently interviewing for an electrical engineering internship at a biotechnology company. I had a phone interview, a 30 minute zoom interview and a 2 hour zoom interview. They now want me to do another 45 minute interview. I don't know if it's just me but this seems very excessive and I don't understand why they have so many interviews just for an internship.

I am currently doing my full-time internship at a startup where I am getting paid 17$/hr. I will most probably be continuing with them in Fall as a part-time and asked for an upgrade to 25$/hr. I asked for that upgrade because I already have around two years of experience outside of Canada as a social media executive in a multinational company. I quit my job at a bank call center (MF dealer) didn’t give out a 2 weeks. I’m finishing up my licenses and school starts in 2 weeks. I’m 22 with 3 years of banking experience, 1.5 years of investment associate experience. Do you think that leaving without giving a notice will follow me in the future? It’s a call center, and I was not able to control my schedule so we always got it 2-3 weeks in advance but couldn’t plan ahead. Will school/scheduling be a good excuse if my next employer asks?

What are thoughts on VULs or IOVAs?
My strategy thus far is 1. Max out 401k, 2. Max out HSA, 3. Max out Roth, 4. Have real estate, and 5. Invest in short/mid term stocks.
Should I consider a $6K/year VUL? Should I also do a IOVA with extra cash?

Looking for some advice here. I am very close to getting an offer from Google for a L6 role. There are two roles I am in contention for - one in customer success org in GCP and another in GTech. Ofcourse the nature of the roles are different but they are both Strategy and Ops roles.

- Where is the prestige if I have to make a choice?
- Is the TC range higher in GCP vs GTech? Assuming same levels for each?
- Any other advice?

Hello, I have a Art History degree(2020 grad). The area I am in doesn't have any museums hiring! I just became a substitute teacher. Seeking a Masters/license in Special Education! I have my status of eligibility to teach Art K-12 but have not received any offers to be an Art teacher. Parents don't want me to get my license yet(since the car insurance went up etc). I'm finding it difficult to find remote jobs in either field(Art His). Can anyone refer me to a company/help me find a remote Job?
