Just got an email from a Spotify HM I’ve never heard from before thanking me for talking with him in an interview I was not invited to. He also let me know that unfortunately they will not be moving forward with my candidacy 🙃 (This was for a job I applied to a couple months ago.)

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.

For those of you that transitioned to industry /PE ops (as in my case), do you still see the same level of outreach from recruiters? I’ve seen a big drop in recruiter calls in the last 4 months or so.

Feel like I was lied to when interviewing at my current agency. I was very honest how important work life balance is to me due to health issues. I’m only two months in & working 55-60 hours a week, having to sign it at 10pm for reports. Every account seems to be like this. How much of a red flag is it if I already start looking for new jobs? I really wanted to make it work, but so can’t do this. I’m in Pharma PR, fwiw.

Prior to law: four years working for a state and a city, and four years before that worked at a consulting agency strictly serving government agencies and cities/counties. You’d think this would parlay well into the government roles I am applying for, but so far no dice. I’m entering my fourth year practicing as a lawyer. Quick rundown...

Had an Engineering interview Thursday and it went well. Was told the owner was out of town and they would be in touch to schedule the next interview with the management team. Got the email yesterday about scheduling the next interview, they asked my availability for this week. I replied back about 90 minutes later.

Fast forward to today, Wednesday, and I haven't heard anything back. I called twice to follow up, but went to VM. Do I send another email?

Thinking about leaving PA and buying a Tire Store. Anyone have experience with this line of work/advice?
