MBB folks - do you feel like your tech exit opps are easy to come by relative to those from big 4?
Is KPMG Lighthouse hiring in Chicago for a D&A consultant? Have 3 years of experience - mainly Excel modeling, Alteryx, tableau, some SQL, learning Python.
Trying to transition out of social media and into another role, but I'm at 10 YOE as a social strategist and it's difficult to transition. I can't quite find a role where i can apply my skills, learn new ones, and NOT take a massive pay cut. Is my best bet to try to move over to brand strat or consumer insights? Find a new career entirely? What's next for a social media manager stuck in a rut?
Reviews for Stripe - fintech company in Bay Area? Fulfillment, PD, Compensation, WLB? Not in a tech role.
Two years out of undergrad, in risk advisory at a B4. Interested in switching to more of a tech implementation role at a place like Deloitte. Any tips to make the transition?

H1B 🐠: How do you store your I797 notice? Do you keep it as neatly as possible in its own folder or fold and attach it to your passport?
I left IB a year ago as an Associate to do Corp Dev. Unfortunately it’s turned out to be a total bust: the company “paused” all M&A activity about 6 months ago and I’ve just been doing BS Strategy / Ops work since then. I’m deciding if I want to go back to IB, or try for a better Corp Dev role. In general, do you guys think that Corp Dev roles are kinda bullshit, or are there good Corp Dev roles out there? I really hate not being a revenue-generating employee like I was in IB
Anyone hiring? Looking to get into Cyber Commercial on the tech side. Trying to leave the Fed side. The job hunting struggle is real 😔.
Once you go boutique or Slalom, are your non consulting exit ops more limited than if you were exiting from ACN to industry?
Could someone explain the type of responsibilities that come with a product manager role? There’s an enterprise software company I like, however the only non engineering role is PM. I’m scared I won’t be technical enough 😕
I am new to the consulting world. Everyone talks about networking. How do you get in front people? Do you need to spend days or mths doing non-billable work for several people to get staffed?
I’m feeling incredibly upset and depressed. I’m at a job I hate, even though I know I should be grateful to still be employed. I had an offer for a job I really wanted pre-corona that recently rescinded their offer due to lack of demand. Then I had 2 interviews this summer so far, and both rejected me :/ even though I spent so much time preparing. I feel hopeless and stuck. I don’t know how to get out of this state and be motivated to apply again. Or just be content with where I’m at. Advice?
Pardon my ignorance as I am a newly promoted manager from industry to B4, but how does the staff have over 168 billable hours within a week? That’s more than working 24 hours/day for 7 days/week...
Gave my brother a $100 delta voucher, the little things in life that can make non consultants so happy. Hopefully good karma :)
Email from Hilton Honors that they are extending your 2019 status through March of 2021. Your 2020 status through March of 2022.
Places in my area are re-opening at a limited capacity, with salons opening last week. A friend invited us and a couple others for a hang out in their apt, they’re close friends and one of them is more susceptible to diseases yet he’s okay with this. I want to hang out, but I feel a bit uncomfortable as I don’t want to potentially infect them or have something happen. Are you all going to friends places?
PwC: so apparently when you leave the firm, they pay you remaining vacation days at your starting salary. WTF?
Hi everyone! Please help: I really want to move from EY Business Consulting (current) to Facebook. I have 8+ years of experience in consulting but no MBA. Should I go get a big name executive mba or can someone guide me on how I can make my way into Facebook? Much appreciated!!!!
Booking travel with my non-consultant girlfriend makes me realize how douchey we are when it comes to flights and hotels
I am in my final year of a european masters in management program and want to apply for the deferred MBA programs at top schools (T10). Do I stand a chance given that I already have a masters degree?
Been on the bench a couple weeks. Just found a dude who I had difficulty working with in the past got staffed on the role I wanted. Feeling like I suck and can't compete.
What is partner compensation like? What factors determine compensation? Have a general idea about it but looking for more insights, if anyone has to share
I have an incoming offer for a small IT Security startup with a big salary increase and equity (haven't seen the numbers yet but the bands are much higher). The job would be helping them grow a new practice. I'm very interested in the job, but what are some red flags I should look for? The culture seems great but I'd like to not be unemployed in 6 months.
