I’ve been on the bench since early Feb and have been working on firm initiatives full time since (proposals, white papers, and practice work). Last month I went on leave for surgery and before I left I asked if I should be concerned about not being on a project and I was told no. I received a bench warning and was told I had two weeks to find a project (two weeks ago) or I would be ejected from the firm. They told me I would receive two weeks of severance. Should I asked for more? How?

Is anyone here a client service associate ? I have just been offered a position as one. It didn’t seem like a call center in my interview but now that I’m speaking with people it does seem like one. Can anyone provide any insight? I need my series 7 and 63.

Just started a client-side management role at a Fortune500 & I am not only substantially younger than my direct report, but I am also the youngest manager at the company. Feeling a bit intimidated and inexperienced compared to everybody else.

Any advice, books/podcasts, or general recommendations for succeeding as a inexperienced manager in a large corporation? I want to be taken seriously, but I’m afraid of being dismissed (especially by the execs and directors) because I’m a young woman.
