Just got my AWS Solutions Architect (associate) cert. What would be some good job titles/roles for me to apply to/search for on LinkedIn?

…probably junior solution architect roles

like

Thank you!

Use it to get on a project that let's you get the experience related to the cert. When you're feeling frisky, get the architect professional cert and either move up or move on to cloud architect roles.

like

Reach out to AWS business group, ton of projects, a lot of need for technical peeps

like

But actually cert on its on means nothing; are you looking at tech side; strategy side; industry or professional services

I’m in consulting/strategy now and I’m looking to pivot into something more technical

I would say: you should look at getting your TOGAF and one of product owner or product management carts

No one hires tech roles just off of certs. They are looking for experience.

If you want experience, try getting moved into an implementation project.

It gets you through the HR applicant system gate. They love it when someone has a laundry list of acronyms after their names.

I hate how terrible recruiters are when you've entered their pipeline. I've been on interviews sometimes even 2 or 3! and get completely ghosted. no follow up, nothing. it's extremely rude. This is even after sending an email (maybe even a follow up) about what next steps are.

I'll add that this is for pretty senior roles too and it has happened time and time again. I'm so over it.

Not trying to read too much into signs because I don’t want to get hopes up to be let down, but what does it mean that a recruiter follows up an email within 1hr not by email, but phone call with an update that I’m one of the two final candidates. I’m getting interview burnout during my job search and this being the first time a recruiter followed up by phone instead of email and quickly at that. When will I see the light at the end of the tunnel?

Hi Everyone, I have been an HR Generalist for close to 7 years. I had good managers and poor managers in between. My VP once told me not to pursue my MBA because she would teach me everything she knew. She never did. I am currently going for my SHRM SCP. I really enjoy being a Generalist but I don’t know if I want to be an HR Manager. Any suggestions on other areas of HR I should consider?

I made a career pivot into a tech role, but it's a 6-month contract and I had to sacrifice my title. Several weeks in, my supervisors realized I'm capable and even mentioned bumping up my title soon. I'm guessing I can't negotiate my salary while still under contract (this is my first contract job). But is this something I can bring up if the role becomes FTE? Do salaries usually change drastically from contract to FT?
