OP, you gotta be more specific next time lol. For a real answer finally, tell the client you are looking for 80k and state a few reasons why you deserve it. For example, you are coming from a fast paced environment and will quickly pick things up. And you also have background knowledge of the company as you were staffed on them and can contribute right away

likefunny

So as a notice for everyone, there is rarely a situation where you would not give 2 weeks. It’s not a company by company thing, it’s general common business decency so a company can plan to replace you. If you don’t give 2 weeks, in my view, I would call that an asshole move. Obviously an exception to that would be any type of harassment abuse etc etc

Well I told them I was missing out on my bonus paid in October. Also their bonus structure is 10% and compared to our tier1 which is maybe 14-17% . I think a higher pay will make up the difference. HR called me the next morning to say I got approved for higher pay

I will be doing someheavy recruiting for Product Managers. Having a hard time with the existing team to persuade them that the uniqorns they are looking for dont exist. They are fixated that unless someone does not know to work agile or have tech specific experience they dont want to see them. Some of the questions also they have for candidates are an imitation of big corp companies like google, facebook etc. I am a big advocate on giving chances and trying to get through to them. Any ideas?

Hi there! We are thinking about adding a benefit to our Veterans employee resource group - assistance with Tax Prep for Veterans/Spouses, since they or their spouses may have lived/worked in several places nationwide and globally in any given year and their taxes are complex - have you heard of this veteran-aimed benefit before? Seen it at your firm or in the market? Thanks!

Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. Before ending it she came over 3 weeks prior to basically give me a chance to work things out and we had a good discussion but then I went back into our routine and didn’t really fight for it or have serious follow up convos that we needed. Now I just have so many regrets that I let her go. I know we still love each other and left on “good” terms but can’t forgive myself for my lack of action.

Partners or whomever can help me understand about billing and hours. To keep things simple, let’s say you only have one staff to work 1,700 billable hours a year on a $60k salary and you have only one job that and the rate charged to the client is $300/hour and an projected hours budget of 1,700 hours. So ideally you would have revenue of $510k. If the staff takes less time partners make less money and if they take more time partners make more money while the staff keeps the same salary?
