*cont'd. we can only discover who we are once we've gone through an experience (I'll call our relationship an experience, cause that's all it was. a 7 year experience) and you need people to bring out/show you parts of yourself. after the breakup, the usual "oh I'm never gonna find someone again" "oh who will ever want me" "oh he's the one for me and no one else" started sinking in. I was so scared that ONLY HE HAD THE KEY - only he could make me this happy - only he knows which buttons to push. NO. now I know I have this side of me,this part of me, who I was with him - goofy, happy, present, loving, warm, open, giving, understanding. the time we had,all the magic that we shared. and I'm gonna share this magic with someone else - god knows where that will take us. so that's gonna be my biggest takeaway. so thanks to you, my ex. for bringing out this side of me. I wouldnt have known that i had this in me and I couldn't have experienced it with anyone else - not my siblings, my friends or my family. it had to be you. this relationship was for us, and it was meant to be our experience. you were the first person I cared for - someone i put above all others - even more than myself. I will always be the same person I was, always will be. I'm not gonna change for anyone and I will love the same way I did before. I dont seek closure from you cause I dont need any answers - I know I don't need to change anything about me. I can turn on the fun warm loving person again and I won't be afraid of losing her. we were together when we were young, but that's only cause we were young to experience so many new things. you won't be my final destination, but everything we had taught me and showed me who I am. I didn't know I could love like that. so, thank you. I open my arms into what's next.

Beautiful thoughts OP! Indeed, a love story doesn’t need a happy ending to be beautiful. We keep the learnings in our grateful hearts and move forward as a better version of ourselves.

QQ for any TTP users: what would you recommend as the most accelerated use of the portal? I have my GMAT in about 10 days. I've had access for half a month and I'm through ~20% problems. If I haven't met the accuracy needed, I've then spent time on the lessons and usually hit the accuracy after. For additional context, aiming for Q47+. I was on a Q45 on a Veritas mock last week.

Thought I'd share this for inspiration. I was eating right and working out for the past few weeks and my weight on the scale was not budging which in turn was demotivating me. Yesterday was my first rest day and cheat day. I also slept a full 8 hrs. This morning I stepped on the scale and voila! Down 6 lbs. This has motivated me to keep pushing. Another 15 lbs to my target. lesson learned - Trust the process!

Have any of your firms or law departments planned firm or department-wide fundraisers, pro bono projects, or volunteer events that specifically offer legal assistance to combat racial inequality? We can donate money or time individually, but a small group of us at my firm are brainstorming ideas that would make a bigger impact with some sort of large scale effort. Such a daunting concept. Any ideas, lessons learned or cautions would be much appreciated!

I have a return offer following my internship for an MBB in my home country in SE Asia. However, I want to stay in the US after my MBA (salary, relationship, network etc.). Would it make sense to get offers from T2s to put pressure on my company to enable a transfer? If so, how would I best play this card? I would likely pick any US firm over any MBB at home, given the financial considerations.
