Any chance to lateral upwards?
You may want to search the women in law bowl. This question has definitely been asked and answered before.
I wish you the best of luck, no matter what decision you make.
I don't think so. I'm not familiar with how fishbowl works, but found this link to it. I hope this helps!

I had a great experience and the hormone shots are not that long. I think I was on mine for 10 days. I strongly recommend scheduling an appointment with your fertility doctor (you may need a referral from your PCP) and look into scheduling asap because there may be a waitlist.
Given your age, there will be no real rush to go through with the procedure, but it is the perfect time to start researching. Once your PCP refers you, you’ll have an initial consultation with the fertility doc. You may be able to have both consultations done virtually (I did) if interested. After that, you’ll have to wait until your next cycle to go in for testing. When they test your blood, you’ll need to have a follow-up with your doc (again, could be virtual) so they can order your meds. Your meds will be a major factor in how much this will cost. Surgery is probably about $5K. Once all those consultations are done, you can decide whether or not you want to go through with the procedure.
I did immediately. Ordered the meds and then blood tests and shots daily for about 10 days. The appointments are in the early morning, I had to be there around 7:15 am. Shots were done at night, say 7 pm. You can easily plan. If you feel comfortable, you could ask your firm to WFH for 10 days while you do this, or just mention that you will be in a little later than usual for this time period only (or maybe you won’t need to say anything, I didn’t). I guess you could even use vacation time. My procedure was a huge success and I am so excited to hopefully settle down soon and use the eggs. The hormones are no joke but you’re aware of it and it’s so temporary! I only did one round because they got a great amount but some women do two rounds.
Caution re advice that says “there’s no rush given your age.” My wife regrets this as she has premature ovarian aging and we can’t have a second kid. Freeze your eggs when you have a chance
Generally speaking, women’s eggs are best before 35. 31 is def under that age. It is a big deal, costs money and storage fees are charged monthly after the first year. I personally wouldn’t encourage women to do this before 30. It may not be necessary. The initial tests and ultrasound will give you a snapshot of your body’s fertility.

Just commenting to say that I didn’t meet my wife until I was towards the end of my 30s and we’re expecting our second child now and are both 40. Although we were still able to have kids, my wife, wish she had frozen her eggs around your age. You never know what the future holds and good luck!
I did 3 rounds and found them to be no joke. The hardest part for me was how exhausted and bloated I got from the medication, especially in the latter half. I work with a supportive and understanding team so I felt comfortable letting them know what I was going through and to take the time I needed to rest. I’d take the day of the retrieval off because the anesthesia is still in your system and you’ll be pretty sleepy all day.
I froze my eggs when I was a mid-level in big law. It involves a lot of appointments because of all the blood draws, but I generally ask for the first appointment of the morning which worked because I was still able to arrive at the office on time and the clinic wasn’t behind schedule since I was the first appointment. Good luck!
In my experience, frozen eggs do a very poor job of meeting their annual billablea target.

Check out the Fertility Bowl.
Ah
Lots of appointments, but usually compressed to a couple week period (unless you do multiple cycles) and can do early in the morning before work. I took off a couple days for the retrieval, that was the only work interference for me. I say just do it if you can swing it financially. Nice to have in your back pocket. One less thing to worry about. One tip, assuming your insurance does not cover, buy the drugs from an overseas pharmacy. It is legal. Half the cost. Doctor or nurse may say they can’t recommend, but they will still write the prescription (in my experience at least at a very reputable fertility clinic).
I just did it at 40 (when firm started offering benefits). Honestly wasn’t terrible - I was close enough to colleagues to tell them I was doing it. I doubt I would have done it if it wasn’t covered by the firm given the cost, but once that was covered it was uncomfortable and I got a little emotional but not that bad. And now I have possibilities if I want them in the next couple years.
