I know you didn’t ask this / this is unsolicited. But a big international trip when six-seven months pregnant doesn’t sound particularly fun. You are typically exhausted, kinda fat (at least your belly is big), and may be enjoying other great pregnancy symptoms like nausea, heartburn, restless leg, sometimes insomnia, etc. add to that some jet lag. And a “fancy” trip when you can’t drink wine and chug some coffee… man no thanks. Personally I’d do it in your second trimester if you can
Take the vacation! But agree with above maybe earlier in pregnancy would be more fun. Third tri I just wanted to nap a lot and traveling was more rough (I actually continued flying to the client until 34 weeks! Felt good overall but also tired.) can they really turn you down given so much advance notice??

I took a week long baby moon and a week before my due date. Enjoy!

2 weeks is a long baby moon but you do you mama!
It’s an international trip (1 week vacation, 2-3 days traveling, then a few days to recover from the travels).
Thank you P1 and SM1, you guys bring up a good point. That’s something I should really think about. It’s my first pregnancy so I’m clueless haha. The doctor said it’s safe to travel at that time, but I guess that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s comfortable doing so.
I feel like my doctor was very pro-women’s choice about travel and work. She offered to write me letters that would get me out of travel if I wanted. At one point I was so stressed out working until 2am during 2nd trimester on the project from hell she said she’d help me with disability paperwork if I wanted to take a break earlier. I didn’t end up using either but it was so nice of her to offer! Pushed me to set my own boundaries at work…

Hi OP! I planned a trip at 6m pregnant and was useless the entire time. Carpal tunnel and general malaise from the pregnancy + had previa so had to stay resting. Wasn’t the best use of my time off. That being said - FMLA may cover you and you won’t need to explain that it’s for a trip. I would look into that to see if that works without taking time away from your actual MatLOA
