Congrats! How many years exp? That seems really solid for Chicago.
Thank you! 8.5 YOE + MBA
That's honestly one of the best fpa packages I've seen
Agreed, knocked the cover off the ball and got some equity with it
Congrats! It's great when you can work for a company that recognizes your worth and pays you accordingly. Wishing you all the best in your new role!
Thank you!
That’s a solid package - congrats. From what I’ve seen, this is on the higher end for manager level roles - closer to sr manager (from a base comp and bonus perspective) or jr director (one with not many YOE). I typically haven’t seen equity for managers aside from startups (where this appears fairly comparable to what I’ve seen, though often at startups you won’t have this high of base & bonus). Mind sharing what type of company / company maturity? PE or VC backed?
Yeah for sure - it’s a FAANG company
Yeah this is really solid, that base is higher than avg for FP&A manager.
Equity piece is interesting! I’ve never seen one in FP&A. My base is 190k but I’m in nyc
No equity? I’m a senior analyst in fp&a and I get $15k in RSUs a year
The FP&A subreddit is active, and you’ll see some good salary data there. This is a great comp package. It’s rare for a manager to pass $150k in base salary - at least from what I’ve seen outside HCOL. You’re just over $200k before equity, which is fantastic. I think you’re definitely getting paid your worth right now.
FWIW, I make $95k + 9% bonus and no equity in a a LCOL city working for a manufacturing company around $3-4B in revenue. I think our managers may be closer to a $115-130k base plus a 12-20% bonus (the majority is closer to 12-15%) and still no equity.
Wow. That's insanely great. I'd be happy if I ever get that package! Anyways, congratulations and best of luck!
Thank you!
Equity seems pretty high! Good work!
I had an offer last year for Sr. manager role at MSFT for 160K base, 20% Bonus, $200K equity over 4 years. I’m in a MCOL city, so I assume the offer was adjusted for that. I assume I could’ve negotiated up to 170K base as an external hire.
Great reference point! Thanks for providing
Agreed 😳
Chief
Well compared to a MCOL city, I’m at fortune 200 and at $110k with a 10% bonus (which we won’t hit)
Love how you can’t just simply google this
This questions are LITERALLY the purpose for this app.
Not sure why you have to be a passive aggressive dick about it.
How many years is equity vested over
4 years
Wonder what went down to make that happen lol
Damn, nice equity pkg! Is that annual?
Equity can be refreshed every year but it vests over 4 years. So I’ll get the equity in 4 equal installments (from a # of shares perspective)
Did u negotiate?
Unfortunately our company policy is that there is no negotiating on a transfer, just a sort of “modeled” package based on prior performance. Put another way, I tried but didn’t get anything extra for the negotiation lol
What does your role encompass? (duties, tasks, etc.)
Wow! I didn’t know they had locations in Chicago
