Consulting

Just got the call from Amazon after my Loop interview (final round, 6 hour interview) and I didn’t get the role. I thought it went really well. They can’t give me any feedback and said to wait 3 months to apply for other roles. What gives!

On the other hand, I thought the interview experience was easier than I expected. Questions were straightforward and the interviewers were just good to talk to. I do not also agree that they are picking only 1 of the several interviwees. They are hiring like crazy and even if you do not get into one role, they will fit you into another one. At least 5 of my friends, including I were hired at L5-L7 levels in the past 2 months

Honestly, they probably found someone else they liked better. It's nothing that you did, their loss.

Happened to me too today. They have their pick during these times so no matter how well you do, there could always be someone who is a tad better

I initially found myself wanting to exit to PM as well without a hard understanding of what product managers do, the pros/cons, their varying roles (strategic vs execution vs user experience), lifestyle, etc. Hell, I’m still doing the research now.
