MBA candidate recruiting for strategy consulting this fall, but with the long-term goal of being a CFO. Which strategy firms will provide the best finance-related experience? And does it really matter or is it best to just focus on fit etc. and figure the rest out later?

200k base possible as Accenture M?
Need help deciding if this offer is worth moving for. Received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for an Associate level Sr. Systems Engineer in Los Angeles for $135k base. I countered $150k and a $15k singing bonus and asked if I could be brought on as a lead associate since I've been a lead/manager for a while in my current company.
Current company TC: $125k in Utah.
YOE: 7 with M.S. and MBA

What title is it? 185k seems very high for manager
Sorry. Yes Manager. I realized I forgot to put the title in my post.
That's a really great offer and in the SM band for many of us. Making SM in 3 years will be challenging - it's often 4 years now. You'll need to build your network and garner support and build a pipeline. If you're in a smaller practice area it's possible for sure.
Raises have historically been 4-8% depending on where you are in the band. 185k has got To be high in the band for a first year Manager so I'd expect lower raises.
$185k for M1 is really good.
Comp is high, more than M level salaries in the recent survey.
Yes but that's just from campus. Most SCs come in lower than that. The bands overlap a lot, which can be frustrating - imagine being an SM and staffing an SC who's base is higher than yours? But it's how we stay competitive in a competitive market.
Not a good comparison with S& - that's more purr strategy than a consulting role at D.
What group in PwC are you in?
Seems about right when I was offered a job there a few years ago, and that’s probably pushing the upper limit. I also came from PwC but I was a manager then, not sure if that makes a difference. And I was also an older grad.
You’re on the upper band of a manager.
