Hi Fishes/Sharks,
Can someone please tell me how is the hiring process of Credit Suisse??
I had my 1st interview last to last week and after that no communication till now. And no update on my application on the portal.
I have heard the hiring process is very slow here. Is this true? How long would they take to schedule the 2nd round (if I am shortlisted).
Please advise.
TIA.

My boss hits on me—and I kinda like it.
I'm envious of those of you having office trysts.
If you never have moments of thinking this, you’re not a creative. Starting out is hard. Trust the process and good things will happen
Thanks, I’m trying really hard to keep the faith.
I had 3 part time jobs in NYC for a year before I found my first full time job. Stick with it. You’re just starting out. You’ll land somewhere and take it from there. Don’t look for the dream job. It doesn’t exist. Look for the job where you’ll learn things and be challenged.
real talk? some people aren’t.
but you aren’t there, yet. you’re just in an over-saturated junior pool. wait til you can’t climb anymore. then you’ll know you’re not cut out for it.
take this time to work on your spec book, and start a side project that will help your skills: like selling something you made, creating an art book, starting a niche instagram account, etc.
I really hope I’m not there yet 🤞🏼🤞🏼 thank you
No it’s the toughest time right now, everybody is feeling it.
Your day will come. Keep at it. All of us were in your shoe at some point of our careers.
If you think it is hard now, you better quit. It only gets harder. It also applies to any industry.
I went through a few months of self-doubt before I landed my first job as a junior. Work your network and contact the old mentors you worked with during your internships. Ask them to look at your book. Ask them if there are any junior positions open at their agencies. Ask them if any of their friends are hiring. Ask them if they have any friends who might be willing to meet with you for an informational interview (and book crit). Not every connection will lead to a job, but getting to know more people will never hurt. Good luck!
Where are you located? Maybe a fellow fish can help
Try doing pro-bono work around your community. I did some to build my copy book. Even simple projects can end up being really cool and when it’s pro-bono, esp small shops, you can really flex creative style. I’ve found people are grateful for your help and you get exp working for someone.
Keep your head up. I did 2 internships after college in addition to the ones in college. Stay positive and stick with it. Find the places that are hiring entry level and use your network from your previous internships to get an in.
Thank you, I’ve been doing all the past few months. Starting to think I should just go with anything but I don’t know
Post your portfolio in the Book Review bowl! Best case scenario someone loves it and it leads to something, worst case you get feedback on how to turn it into a portfolio people love
I did, I also did it in the Advertising bowl, I got good responses and someone reached out but it didn’t stick. Thank you
Go to a staffing agency and do freelance. Might turn into a full time gig / will give you experience
Self doubt will happen your whole life. A big part of getting older is learning to deal with it. The earlier you can find healthier ways to do that and learn what’s in and out of your control the better.
