Seems really low for any college graduate job.

First mistake was writing all that detail here. You are probably one of the only new hires in such a group and therefore gave up your cover

Underpaid

Your friends are definitely making more!

Is this NY? If so I would’ve pegged it to be more around 50-60k. 40 seems really low for finance ops in NY

Even ops people in Salt Lake City start higher than $40k and cost of living there is ~50% what it is in NYC.

JP started us at 55, and that was 5 years ago. 40 is definitely underpaid (IB ops / NYC)

Is this 40k after-tax? Does not make sense for pre-tax

You didn’t bother to check comp in similar roles at other firms?

Your friends are right, sorry OP

Anyone here with market understanding of salary and trends in PM and more broadly business management / operations in Canada? I’m looking at Dir of PMO and Chief of Staff / special projects roles in CAD but have no idea what base compensation is and my experience and networks is all US based. Interested in tech and social impact but otherwise industry agnostic (I come from agency)

Been interviewing with D, EY and Accenture at M level. Keep feeling a bait and switch to SC. I'm M currently. The feedback has only been that I "haven't worked on large enough projects" and that 1 yr as an SC to M timeline would allow me to "learn their capabilities, approaches, etc".

Anyone else face this? I'm a bit frustrated. High performer, MBA... How much will this effect salary, if I accept an SC vs. M offer?

I have a small firm and am contemplating acquiring a practice from a retiring attorney. The plan would be to bring him into the firm for a year or two first to transition the clients. Is there a standard payment structure once he retires? Such as percent collected each month from his client base? Agreed upon salary for a set amount of time? Any suggestions or insight would be appreciated.

Current base salary: $55k
Current bonus: 10.5% (~$5k)
Vacation: 2 weeks
*been with company for 4 years. Started as a product data analyst out of school.

New offer base salary: $90k
Bonus: 12% (~11k)
Vacation: 3 weeks

Counter offer: $80k
Bonus: 14% (~11k)
Vacation: 3 weeks

The new offer would require significantly more travel. I have a young family and value time at home. My heart is telling my to take the counter offer from my company.
