An employer has a choice. It's their business, and their decision if they want to hire someone with an immigration need or not. Refusing to entertain your application because it doesn't meet their eligibility requirements /criteria is perfectly legal

^ most people in this bowl are not immigration lawyers or specialists or paralegals.
Most people in the bowl are just on a visa- usually providing their own experience or letting others in the same situation know what their lawyers said at that point in time.
Yeah, of course it’s legal. Immigration status is not a protected class for employment purposes

Its legal. You require work authorization (until you get your GC) and it’s legal for firms to say they can’t provide that.

It is perfectly legal for firms to not sponsor work authorization or hire someone who might need it in the future. Many companies have stopped hiring international candidates on campus. Why would you even think it is illegal? Like what government would make it mandatory for companies to hire international candidates? I am not a immigration lawyer or HR and I am here on a visa.
OP. Seems like you are basing it off that you have authorization but it may expire. Perhaps it would be better to engage a lawyer to see if you have a legitimate case. I’m guessing you’re planning to sue the company for discrimination?
