Just had an interview with Comcast for a junior project manager and the pay is between 60-67k…. Does that sound too low?

Very low! I’ve made more than that just for help desk. Always negotiate and if they don’t budge move along. Let them know that, that salary in no way, shape, form or fashion affords you this recession:economy.

I was promoted from a project Coordinator ($57k) to Associate PM making $65k year in 2021. When they revealed my new compensation I scoffed and put in my 2 weeks immediately. I got hired a month later as a PM for double my APM salary. I would say at least $70k-$85k for APM. Do you have a CAPM or PMP?

Yes, because most companies don’t look for degrees but they like certs and experience. My last boss literally told me she never hires based on degrees just experience. She’s a boss that everyone needs when getting started.

I have 15 YOE all in health IT consulting in T2, mostly running large technology implementations for providers. I’m tired of the consulting grind and am contemplating going to industry. The easy path of an IT exec position with a typical client of mine (large health systems) does not appeal to me. I find the idea of going to more innovative companies (big tech, health tech startups, provider or payer disrupters) more appealing.

Any data points, thoughts, advice on how to exit?

As realtors, our worst and best friend are the contractors, being friends with the contractor that remodelled a home you are going to sell is a plus because you can know for sure what kind of improvements were made to the house and why; and what kind of things are pending to be improved, that way you can provide real information to the client. You know what they say: a happy client always comes back to you.

Newbie investor asked me a question, they have $5k to invest and were wondering if they should put it in an index fund (S&P500 - which is what I’d normally recommend plus DCA thereafter) or if they should buy AMZN given that it is well off of its highs, is a solid company and would, in 12-18 months, likely grow faster than the S&P, as interest rates normalize over that time period, etc. That got me thinking… so I’m asking all of you, what would you do/recommend?

I need more insight. I just got done with my on-site interview (flew 1,000 miles) they paid for everything. I had interviews with the director, CNO, and fellow managers. The CNO was fourth coming with all information and said they would develop me to reach my career goals. The managers were telling me the good school districts etc. and we’re agreeing with my answers during the interview. I’m probably going to end up over analyzing everything until I hear back. Any thoughts?

I delightedly agreed and the second interview went very well, BUT I haven’t heard anything back yet. Did I accidentally kill my chances by withdrawing too soon then deciding to come back?
