A year after submitting 485 and assuming PD is current...all this assuming you don’t get multiple RFE’s that can delay the process

Why would this shock you? There are no in-person interviews due to covid. They laid off a ton of people. H1b is probably the least favorite type of visa there is by politicians (outside of diversity visa that is nearly completely cancelled now). Other types of visas processing time is the same. There are some waivers but it’s still rare. So why wouldn’t processing time not go up? I expect this to change the second they hire more people and policies to change. Also would be nice to see the end of covid, but I don’t believe anything will change for at least another 8-12 montha
