Consulting

Just had the worst internship experience at EY. No one to report to, project scope is a mess, people frown upon networking, counsellor defends the team for every mistake they make, and no transparency

Great offer EY4! I am an active participant of the recruiting roundtables for our interns and I know everyone truly wants you guys to have a great experience. I'd also be interested in making your remaining time at EY more enjoyable.

I don’t appreciate the condescending tone. How do you know that I was not doing my job? That is why I say the feedback process is not transparent - I received positive comments during calls

In the feedback process whatsoever. I honestly don’t even know if I want to be a part of this group anymore.

What part of EY? Sorry to hear it didn’t live up to expectations... we always look to keep our interns excited!

I had the same experience except everyday I would do data entry from printed out sheets of paper into an ever changing spreadsheet. Recruited elsewhere and actually like my work now

Brush your shoulders off an move on. Learn from the mistakes you made and understand others are not perfect either.

Currently recovering from cancer and counting my blessings. Just a question for anyone who went through the same issue. What do I do about my hair or especially my eyebrows during zoom or client calls? It will take anywhere between 4-6 months to come back up. Is a hat too informal for 6 months? The eyebrows I think are the weirdest. They fell out but just half of them.

What’s the on site vs office vs WFH situation in India for consulting companies? I believe many companies have the official policy to allow WFH and give accommodations as needed, but also prioritize client needs. Particularly curious about those whose clients have started going back to the office.

I'm really good at my job, a high performer and have visibility with partners. However, I hate it. I wake up in the mornings feeling angry and resentful. I'm not able to exercise creativity as I'd like to, and feel I'd be happier in a completely different field. I'm scared to leave behind the reputation I've built. Big 4, it's safe/comfortable/addictive and Im addicted to being on cruise control. Anyone else been through the same?
