Just heard from several friends there that Facebook / Meta is entering a hiring freeze. How is it going there? Is this a bad health indicator for the company? What's the employee morale levels following the announcement?

Since I pivoted into TA (from the Wild West known as Finance) Tech Recruiting has always been the goal. But I’m having a hard time finding a way to get into that space (I do understand there’s a hiring crisis). Nevertheless, does anyone know of tech companies that are hiring? I may be low on the experience side so I’m willing to look at contract/ entry roles as well. Also, any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I need you advice to know if I should contact the company to get an update, the situation is: I did a 2nd interview with the VP and the manager of the department for the position I applied, after the interview the manager called me and made an offer which I accept, he said the Hr team will contact me for the next steps, but I haven’t received any info yet from the HR nor the manager. Should I contact the manager (which is the only contact I have from the company) or keep waiting?

What is wrong with Tech Mahindra HR.. everytime i call them they say same answer pending for approval...not sure what approval they are looking for past 15 days...if they are planning to put my position on hold they should mail me or when i cal them they should inform..but nothing is happening..do i need to wait or better search for other opportunities? Need some advise on a situation that pretty sure will play out this week. While I am on track for a promo. This promo will transform my position to be a non-exempt employee and not be paid hourly. Being that I currently do a bit of RM tasks that constitute a lot of overtime, how do I negotiate that I still receive a promo but be exempt being that unfortunately the ladder will dictate non-exempt.

Has anyone here been able to recover from career setbacks caused by Dot Com, 9-11, or Great Recession economy? Just turned 40 with 15 years of relevant industry experience, and my Big 4 employer brought me in at a level designed for 25 year-olds. Career progression is apparently based on time in role rather than performance, so I’ll have to spend 8 years climbing back to the level I was at pre-recession. Anybody work for Reliant Rehab? We’re in the mid-Atlantic region and our COTAs were told Friday they are getting 9% pay cuts.
