I am currently an analyst at my company and interviewing at Facebook (Meta) at the end of the month. I’m a bit nervous / looking for ways to prepare because it would be an amazing opportunity. Does anyone have any tips or different ways that I can prepare for the process? It is for a Risk Assessment Investigator role (very similar to what I do now).

I’m sure we’ve all been here....
I just promoted 3 bdrs who sound similar to you to smb aes.
When we hire a new cohort in January feel free to reach out. You don't have anyone advocating for you... your manager should be just as frustrated and loud as you are or nothing will improve.
Good on you SBDM1!!
I would recommend that you should not be in BDR land for more than 8/10 months if you are a top performer and have hit your KPIs. A team lead role with a clear progression track to AE is a typical next step (which includes higher compensation combined with higher responsibility). If they are giving murky / uncertain timelines, look elsewhere . Organizations are always looking for high performing hunters who are driven to hit their numbers and succeed, especially when there is less revenue coming in in general .
Interested in suggestions as well!
No! You should leave!
Just get out!
No. Bad leadership.
BDR Quotas should be reasonable… and top performers should be recognized for their effort.
Less accounts, less meetings. What KPI’s are you measured against ?
DM’d.
Quote must be the same between all BDR
Sales ops must provide equivalent territory.
You have the best position to change job
To not continue in this company as you won't hit your new target , you won't be promoted and it will be harder to find a new role as you will look like an under achiever
Honestly that sucks, maybe voice these concerns to your director. Ask for a 1-1 with him and the people team after him if it goes nowhere.
Id start applying for AE roles!

Welcome to sales, bro. You got f**ked by your employer. You only get what you negotiate. Bet you didn't get that promise writing. Am I right?
Yup
Personally I would not take a new title or quota if it did not come with more money. Try to renegotiate your pay if they say no start looking for a new company . Good luck. Don’t settle ever
They didn't even offer me a new title, I was told this new position... wasn't a new position? And they sent out/required the quota be accepted on labor day when there were 0 people avalible to speak to. The whole thing is just sketchy, and I don't work for a company that appears sketchy from the outside which is frustrating.
BDR here in a similar enough position. This sounds familiar but it’s in no way normal. Time to jump ship or request a transfer!
There is 0 career pathing, I don't have a new title, I've been told my pay is non negotiable, and any attempt to talk about it with anyone (hr, managers, pay & commission) all get shut down. I've barely been able to talk to even the people I trust the most in the company, and if I brought it up to anyone else I would be written up to HR. Any time I try to talk to HR, they ask me why I haven't talked to the people that would have me written up...
I'm getting paid 10-15k less than people who perform worse on my team, with half the quota for easier markets (mid market, commercial)
Thank you guys for letting me know none of this is normal. I've tried applying for AE positions, but the doors all seem closed. I haven't even been able to get an interview for positions recruiters are hitting me up for on LinkedIn?
You are not alone! Keep up the good work. Did you get any sales training BTW?
Doesn't sound fair to me, I'd consider moving. FYI: Snowflake has 300+ open sales positions. If you are technical, I'd probably try for an AE position in Corporate. Otherwise, we have SDR spots in Denver and San Mateo if you want to try your hand at the same role in another company. In most cases, you should be able to make AE in a year or two. One of my best SDRs wanted to be an SE and he made the transition (we have internal training to help with that). Good luck!

Thank you so much for this!
Sounds like you work at Oracle
Definitely apply for jobs elsewhere (BDR & AE roles). Lean on your pipeline numbers/performance and you should find something quick.
I don't, but I was actually just applying for a job there. Is that somewhere I should avoid?
