Just hoarded 30 dozen eggs, 50 pounds of carrots, 30 pounds of onions, and 100 pounds of rice from a secret source today. Anyone have any recipes for these ingredients?

I’m all for stocking up on non-perishables but why would you buy this much fresh food? Figure out how much you can realistically use before it goes bad and donate the rest.

OP said he has a family of 8 and can eat it all before it goes bad. Therefore he does not need to give any away.

Omelettes!!!! With carrots, onions and some sorta protein!!! Yum 😋

Will you be cooking to feed the needy? If not, then please stop hoarding.

Fried rice. Assuming you have soy sauce and a solid protein.

Onions are a base in a lot of indian curries. The question is how are you on other species like cumin, turmeric, ginger, garlic, chili etc.

Also how many are you feeding and do you have cold storage for the eggs? I have a feeling a lot of this food could go waste which would be a travesty in these times. Onions and carrots being root vegetables can go a long way if stored properly. In india we could store onions for a long period of time but somehow in the US they begin to sprout in a short while :(

I have a family of 8 so the eggs won’t go bad quickly. My family loves big fridges so we actually can accommodate all this food.

smart

Have you considered donating to a food bank?

Harissa Sweet Potato Latkes with Spiced Yogurt, Mint and Pomegranate: My version of latkes is certainly not traditional. Caramelized sweet potatoes are infused with spicy harissa, extra kick from Aleppo pepper and cardamom in the yogurt sauce topped with refreshing mint leaves and pomegranate arils. Would Bubbee approve? Probably not. It’s still delicious and decadent that it can be enjoyed all year. From my tinyhappykitchen on Instagram.

I have 5 years of experience in Administration and 4 years in Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance functions. If you could please advise of the range so I have an idea for negotiations? Thanks!

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
